Post subject:  Is the Movie Happening?????
Hi Guys :D , i know theres been some debate ages ago about whether "the game" by Style was being made into a movie.

First i heard the rights had been sold but then for some reason, plans to make the movie had been dropped. But as i was on internet i stumbled upon i.m.d.b. and saw Sony has brought the rights and a screenplay is already being written for it.

Does any1 else know for sure if its definitly being made into a movie????! :?

I hope so... I think it would be an interesting film, and I think that the more mainstream pubicity the community gets the better!

(lol, and no thats not C&F or sarcastic, thats my real opinion)

On The Game wikipedia page it states:

Sony optioned the rights to make the book into a film, and comedy director Chris Weitz signed on to helm the project for Columbia Pictures. Spyglass Entertainment has since obtained the rights to the film with screenwriter Dan Weiss adapting the book into a screenplay.

No details as to a release date.
