I've repeated those words more times than I care to remember. But I've always done it at different points with the girl. When should I bring it up, and what should I say exactly. Tomorrow I am going out with this girl from work, and judging by the way she looks at me, will take her to town Any Advice? |

that phrase is usually a rejection. A better phrase would be "I am not ready for something exclusive yet"
Any Advice? |

It's YOUR choice. You can hit it and quit it and she WILL see you as a scumbag, or you can be upfront about what you want with her, so she knows the deal.

If you make it clear to her that you aren't ready for an exclusive relationship (fratguy is right about that being the better way to phrase it, because you can still have a non-exclusive one that way) and she still wants to get with you, then that's her choice. If you just want a one time thing, or a FB, then yeah, tell her that you like her and you are interested in taking things further, but you're not ready for a committed relationship (nice eloquent way to say you want to fuck her brains out, but don't want to be attached). Again, if she complies, then that's her choice and if she feels that she was mislead, then you just let her know you made your intentions clear and that you didn't mean to hurt her and that you're not going to be made to feel guilty for her wanting to be with you even though you let her know the conditions. If she bad-mouths you, then you tell people this and they will respect you and not her. |
