Is there room for self-depricating humour? On the face of it, you are always risking DLVing, however, if used correctly, you can show that you're confident enough to poke fun at yourself without being self-conscious. Thoughts? |

Feel free to use it. Just use it sparingly. |

Yeah, I do it from time to time, but like Monkey says, use it sparingly and it is ok. You also need to be confident when you say it and not care whether they make fun of you for it, make it funny, but you need to DHV by showing that you persevered, or you didn't give up, or some good quality. |

Of course! Monkey and Rye gave out all the advice on this one really. On the same note though, grace has never been my strong point. Sometimes I'll use my clutzy behavior as a way to poke fun at myself. When I do something clutzy I just laugh it off with everyone else, and tell the girl it's something she'll just have to get used to. Funny thing is, this in particular almost always helps me find common ground with a chick. I get this ususally: "OMG I know, I'm so clumsy too. like the other day blah blah." haha. ~Muse |
