Here's something to ponder. I have personal, real life experience with the answer to this question, but want to throw it out to every one else here. The REASON for this is to help guys to understand more fully just what this "alpha" is all about. |

There's a couple gay guy's I know that are moderate-highly alpha, and then I've met some HUGELY beta, hell, I'd call them "foxtrot" gay guys. They're super flamboyant and everyone's bitch and usually even act like bitches. |

Yes. But the question is, is the gay alpha different in any way compared to the straight alpha. |

Not necissarily, but yeah, a lot of guys probably aren't going to act the same as a gay alpha. Personaly, I find it works pretty well and surprisingly even better when you're out sarging with a similarly alpha, gay guy. I think its because chicks love gay guys, so if there's a guy that's almost exactly like a gay guy in style, skill and such, but he's straight, well she's gonna want you. |

Much better. I'd like to use a line from The Bible. Respect. |

Yeah sure, why not? There arn't a lot of alpha traits that oppose gay men from being an alpha. and even if they don't have a few things, who cares. not nearly all alpha males have all traits. |

They absolutely can be. Several months ago (before I really started getting into gaming) I was with a HB8 at uni, getting some food before our respective classes started. We ran into a couple of her friends, one girl and one guy and let them join us. The other guy clearly started leading the conversation in the group and I, still pretty AFC, couldn't do anything but follow. I only found out afterwards that he was gay. It seems that most gay guys have some sort of eccentricity in their personality that draws attention to them. |

because they are thinking that alpha is also physical. which in the wild it is; passing on genes and whatnots. the next thing I'm giong to see polled: Is it possible for a mexican man to be alpha? no bueno But in sarging, the physical aspects of alpha (besides body language) are not present. it is all in personality. And since anyone can have any type of personality, then yes....gay men CAN be alpha, and they CAN also be alpha female (if hanging out with a straight alpha male). |

And since anyone can have any type of personality, then yes....gay men CAN be alpha, and they CAN also be alpha female (if hanging out with a straight alpha male). I've met bisexual girls, lesbian girls, straight girls, gay guys, straight guys, bisexual guys and I have seen examples of being alpha in all of them. I've stolen some traits from gay guys in order to become a more approachable, easy to be around alpha, such as how I emote. The way that gay men emote is part of why women love gay guys so much, so take a page from their books and don't be afraid to show when you've got emotions, or maybe just feeling really sick. Chicks love to be submissive and have guys be dominant, but they also like to take care of people, so its okay to occasionally show that you're not always on top and you can use their care. I'm pretty sick today, so I stayed home from work and was talking with a girl I know on msn. I didn't just go, "I'm SIIIICK booo hooo, make me feel better! Use everything to your advantage boys, that includes taking any aspects of your personality that you can make a little bit more like a gay guy. Me and my best friend when we finally live near each other are going to experiment with the "is he gay?" effect. We have great chemistry together, we can read each other's thoughts and used to respond to jocks saying we were gay, by pretending we were, just to fuck with them. Sure, maybe it didn't earn us any cool points from them, but chicks saw that we were comfortable with our sexuality and didn't think for a second we were actually gay. By just acting like you're really close with your wing, maybe resting your forearm on his shoulder while carrying on a conversation, you can give them that same thing. They can't tell if you are just really comfortable and sociable, as well as being a touchy person (makes it look much more natural when you go from being touchy with your wing, to being touchy with them and their friends), or if you're gay and as I said, women love gay guys, so either way, you create this attraction and then pull the trigger and they are suddenly surprised and swept away with you. |

Actually some of the biggest alphas I've met had been gay or bi. Also, he who said that it was physical in-so-far as being about passing on genes... in the earliest historical findings through to the times of ancient Greece, many if not most of the great leaders' harems have not been exclusively female. But this brings up an interesting point: How much of the PUA skills on this site would apply to men picking up men? |

Some. Mostly being alpha and conversation skills as well as style. As for tactics and routines, I don't believe they would be very effective, because even though the guys that would be looking to pick up the other guys would be the "male" and the ones being picked up would be the "female", they still think more like guys and so it doesn't flip the same triggers. They don't have the built in attraction switches that women do, their switches are more similar to what straight men have. That being said, unfortunately just by dressing with style, acting alpha and conversing well, if I'm around gay men, they very often end up attracted to me. Not what I'm going for, but I take it as a compliment and its great social proof and pre-selection for women. Often gay men will also have high standards of who they are attracted to, so if you can attract high class gay men, then you're doing something right and will almost assuredly be attracting high class females, as they tend to have similar standards. |
