I was in the library, see this girl that i used to talk to, little awkward between us now, so i thought i would break the ice and as her for a pen , considering that i needed one and she was sitting at the table next to me

Me: Hey carly, do u have a pen that i could borrow?

Carly: no! (jokingly), i don't, your gunna have to ask someone else

Me: (I see pen on her table not being used) Welllll i'm just gunna take it anywaysss

...5 minutes later

Me: Thankyouu for the penn (I put it on her table)

Carly: your nott welcome (jokingly, half smiling)

Me: *Smiles* (and goes back to work)

-What could i have said back to that?

Before she talks, cut her off so
that she doesn't have time to
reply to the neg, and say:

And go into your next routine.

Hey Cool . . . at that point, I would have taken the pen back and said, "well, fine, you don't get it back until you straighten your attitude out." Then walk away back to your table. She probably would have come to you, at least, if she was interested in you.

Before I butt-in and try to answer this.. I think a properly placed 'no thank you' instead of thank you would have worked beautifully earlier. In response to 'ok, thank mom', play along. I don't know what everyone else likes to call it but I call it flirting. Its sexual, its insinuating, and it gets HB9s wet. You should say something like 'and don't forget to clean your room', or 'dont stay out past your curfew tonight." Just a thought though.

Not a bad thought, but I don't
think that would go over too well.

You need to neg her, and let her
know that you're in charge. The
tip that L.A. Tripp gave you is a
pretty good one. You can take the
pen back and say: " I guess you're
not having this back, then."

But make sure this is all PLAYFUL,
because if it's not, you might come
off as an asshole.

Right. Really, that's the key with WHATEVER you say. If you come across the right way, whether it's playful, C & F, blunt, whatever your personality is, if you bring it across to her in the right way, you can say almost anything and get away with it.

And yeah, if she were to come back with something like "ok, mom", then she's playing along with you. Now, if it was ME, which of course this isn't, and I don't know if you could pull it off, but maybe you could, I would say something like, "your mom couldn't do what I can do". And add a cocky smile. Maintaining eye contact too of course, throughout the comment. Builds the sexual tension.
