Hey guys! I just wanted to share with you a couple stories that happened to me last night. Please note that it happened in Prague, Czech Republic and that I actually translate the conversation from Czech into English... So me and my wingman entered a bar, had a drink and chatted for a while while looking around for some accessible sets. After a few minutes I had an eye contact with a solid 8, we both smiled, but did not do anything. I did not want to come up to her and try to say something because i felt I would show too much interest. 15 minutes later she went around us so I asked: "Hey, I've got just one quick question for you - have you taken a vacation somewhere by the sea or is the tan due to solarium?" Her: "What do you think?" Me: "Well, I can't really say, it's dark here so it's hard to tell. But I always assume good things about people, so I say Greece!" Her: "Crete" She smiled My wingman: "We were impressed how well you danced". Me: "Oh yea? I didn't really notice." To her: "But I'm sure that you dance great." At this point I touched her arm. (5 minutes of chitchat, I made a point of always turning a bit away while my wingman was talking to her, looking around, taking a slow sip at my whiskey,... As if i did not really give a shit). Later her friends wanted to bounce, but me and my wing wanted to stay, so we were ready to say bye to her. Then she told me that I should totally add her on facebook, that she'd like to see me again. So she told me her full name and described her profile picture. Me: "You know what - give me your number, I prefer calling people to adding them on facebook." She complied. Her: "My heart will bleed for a week if you don't call me." Me: "Yea, sure. Like your heart EVER bleeds, you saucy little minx." Her: "No, really, please call me." Me: "Will do. Have fun tonight." She pecked me on the cheek. ---------------------- Later that night I had a couple of polite conversations, but failed to actually engage the sets. It was nothing awkward, we had an occasional laugh and I got lost as soon as I felt that it would be too much of a stretch. No harm done, no confidence lost... There were two girls at a table nearby. They looked a bit bored, but then one of them smiled a little. Me: "That was your first smile tonight. I was starting to think that you guys came to get drunk after a death in the family". (probably not the best opener, but they laughed) Me again: "So do you think that this guy is gay?" and we guessed whether or not he was gay... I did not have any routines prepared so I said "Okay, I'll see you guys later!" and returned to my buddy. ------------------------ So overall I had a good night. Tried something, had fun, even got one number. Next time I have to prepare some routines so that I can continue the conversation and engage the sets better. Best of luck in the field! Andres |

Don't eject so much, you saucy little minx! Keep pushing til it gets awkward then push some more! It sounds like you could have done really well that night. |
