Report 1 I went out midweek to make an appearance at a birthday party wasn't intending to sarge. It was ok, we sat at a long table with a HB6.5 to my right and no-one to my left. Made conversation with the guy across from me. HB6.5 was turned away from me towards the birthday boy further to my right. I didn't want to approach from behind (is approach the right word when you're sat 12 inches away). After 15 minutes she turned around and complained about the heat. I responded and she cut me off over where I am from. Told her my home town and she told me it was so cool. She introduced me to her friend HB7 who gave me her name (I need to read up on memorizing names as I need to be able to do this while I'm talking). So HB6.5 gave me some IOI's and I told her some stories, lastly a story about my hometown. Story crashed and burned and I think she may have thought I called her stupid. I'm using that story again. The party was ending and HB6.5 went to the restroom. I said my goodbyes and left. Summary: 1 opener 1 IOI and 1 introduction 1 story to never use again Report 2 So ended up going out last night after a friend text'd to say they were pre-gaming and about to head to the bars on mill ave. I figured this might be an opportunity to sarge. I said I'm meet them there as they were just leaving. Got there and they were still pre-gaming so went to find somewhere to wait. Was thinking of a pub there but there was cover and the patio has been mentioned many times in the field reports of others. I wasn't going to pay a cover for somewhere I might only be 5 minutes and was a little concerned I might be yet another guy looking for a girls opinion. I went to a bar/pool hall down the street. Thought I could practice some openers there but it was too loud and a sausage-fest. I didn't open anyone and wasn't feeling it. I bounced to a bar/restaurant with a quiet patio area. There was a HB7 in a mixed 4 set at the bar yelling about a vibrator she bought and how badly it worked. I started to giggle and looked at her friend and asked if I was supposed to hear this. They laughed and I told some vibrator jokes. Then I just ran out of things to say and conversation died. THinking back I should have neg'd her over buying cheap or else changed the subject when I ran out of jokes. Should have kept conversation going to see if it'd hook. The girls left for the restroom and the guy payed the tab. I chatted with the bar tender as he came around so I wasn't by myself. Got a text from buddy that they were going to Scottsdale instead and their cab would pick me up. It was nearly midnight and I figured it wasn't worth the trip so I decided to head home. Just missed the train so would have to wait on the platform. There was a 3 set (hb6, hb6. hb7) in front of me that just missed it too. I considered opening them for practise but I think AFC came out as I went and sat further down the platform. A HB8.5 arrived by her self and sat 2 seats along so I opened her. She was friendly and we got talking about getting the train. I got trapped in this subject and it took a while to switch. It was too much AFC material, I should have given a DHV story and some negs. Train arrived and we stopped talking. Looking into her face she was probably only 21 and I'm 30 which makes this feel a little uncomfortable. I was nice when I should have DHV'd. I need to think about my drinking, I only had 2 bottles of beer over dinner and nothing alcoholic to drink at the bars. When I drink I get way more confident and cocky. I would probably have gamed the HBvibrator7 more, but I don't think I could have managed to think smart enough to open HB8.5 Summary: Only 2 sets opened Received 0 IOI's |
