If you need words of encouragement, I've only been a rAFC for 2 weeks and i've sarged a bit without a wing. It's definately harder but you can do it. I find my biggest problem is that I'm used to saying things like "i'm here with friends" and I do it even when i'm alone because it just comes out
Actually i've since noticed that even when I am out with friends I tend to send them away and open sets solo anyway because I find it easier to open sets alone and bring my wing in later. It's almost like sarging alone, but with the confidence that you actually have a wing.
What I liked when sarging alone, was if it wasn't going well at one venue, I could just bounce to a fresh one and try to walk in like I owned the place and follow the 3 second rule. When that went stale I bounced from there.
