Kind of a long read but I could use the help fellas: I'm from Los Angeles and I'm visiting Vancouver for the weekend. Went to Steve Nash Gym and the HB8 at front let's me in for free. I finish the workout and I am walking to the lockeroom. I'm pumped, in Brad Pit flight club shape and pretty decent in the looks department. I see her at the bottom of the stairs. HB8: How was your workout? me: Great! I fell Great! Thanks for letting me in, that was really cool. HB8: No problem. me: Let me make it up to you. I'm in town from LA for the weekend. I'm meeting a friend for dinner tomorrow but let me take you out for a happy drink before. HB8: I'm Dayna (hand out) me: I'm Jeff. Nice to meet you. me: So, how does the happy hour sound? HB8: (pauses for a sec) hmmm, I gotta work at 7:30am on Saturday morning. me: Not a big deal, I'm eating dinner with my friend anyway, I'll be up here a lot since this is now my territory and just looking to meet new people. HB8 (pauses another sec) Probably not tomorrow night..... me: OK, so I'll see you tomorrow here? HB8: I'm not working tomorrow. me: Oh, OK, maybe I'll see ya Saturday. HB8: Yeah, I see ya later… I go take a sauna and shower. I felt a somewhat decent vibe since she asked me my name 1st and paused a couple of times so I decided to push it (it's always on right?). This is where things really go south: I'm walking out and she's close to me at the counter. Another girl working is taking to a member but they are within earshot. As I'm walking out I tried to be smooth but it back fired: She's looking up at the TV in the direction where I'm coming from. I stop so we’re shoulder to shoulder looking in the opposite direction: HB8: Hey, have a great night. me: OK, you too. (walking, then pause). Oh yeah, Dayna, just in case I don’t see you Saturday (pull out my phone). I assume your area code is 250? (I type in 250 and pause and look at her). HB8: 604...(see is still looking up at the TV - she probably thought initially I said "what's the area code here") (Then she looks at me and then realizes that I want her number) I'm sorry, I don't give out my number at work... me: Well, if I don't come Saturday, it wouldn't be work (stupid, I know..I tried for a funny grin but it was a big DLV) HB8: (back to looking up at the TV)...yeah, but my boyfriend probably wouldn’t like it (obviously BS) me: (I tried to salvage the situation by poking fun)...now Dayna, it's waaaaaay too early in our relationship to try and make me jealous...(with a grin, I thought it would break the tension) HB8: (still looking at the TV)...sorry (she said it smiling with her teeth clenched). me: Thanks Danya, I'll see ya (and walk out). Could really use the help. Was she ever even slightly into me? Some advice on how to play it in a future situation? Thanks! |

1) you ask a girl out but than say you want to meet new people?? They idea is to take somebody out is to meet them not others 2) you ask a girl for Friday, she said she is busy, so you said Saturday. 99% of the AFC do that because they don't know the trick. The trick is once you do that u become needy and the girl knows that instantly and looses interest. The trick is once she says that to ask her next sometime next week which is also improving the chance of getting digits or any other contact info if you didn't build enough rapport. 3)once she got you that you were needy there is no way she is gonna give u the number now. Plus the boyfriend story is 90% cover up, so u will not bother her. some of the girls will tell u the BF/husband story just to see how much are u really into her. they want to see if you persevere or get scared. it is a SHITTEST. The idea is to say something like: boyfriend is not a wall he can move. If she really has a BF that she has relationship she will tell you NO, if there is no BF you may get another chance. |
