Alright! I am completely new to pick up even though I have been reading books, posts, etc...Anyway I woke up today and was like 'I think I'm ready to try my awesome new skills out in the field!' So I went to the mall, since I am only 17, and found two HB7's just talking at Mr. Bulkey's. I used the 3 second rule and approached and this is how my first set went: Endemic (over the shoulder):I need to know if you guys think Curious George is a sexy monkey. 1stHB7:Why? Endemic:I was with my little cousin yesterday while he was watching T.V. and he was like 'Curious George is a sexy monkey'. I was like what the f*#$? I didn't teach him that! 2ndHB7:No I don't. (Both walk off immediately.) I just kind of stared in disbelief, then got over it. Then I found a 4-set at American Eagle and approached at an angle. This set included a weak looking guy, HB8, and two HB6's: Endemic:Which one of you is the richest? (To HB's) All of them look at HB8, yaay, HB8 (Blushes): Probably me. Endemic:Great, you get to be my sugar mama. (pause for a sec) ...But we're going to need a cook (looking over at HB6's) so which one of you is the best cook? Whole set gives me weird looks like I am some sort of alien or something. Endemic (thinking it would DLV to keep with the open): Listen, I know you all think I'm just drop dead gorgeous, but it's impolite to stare. The HB8 keeps her weird look and starts to saunter off as the rest follow. I haven't even heard of this happening to any other pick up artist, so I go and check in the bathroom to see if there is something in my hair or a huge ass buger hanging out of my nose and nothing! I really need to know if I am doing anything wrong, if I have horrible luck, or if they were just all b*%#%es. |

while bro congrats on your first serge. I think you did a lot of stuff wrong. You should have probably used a better GROUP opener than that. Something thats canned, but not over used( dont use anything from VH1) This one worked for me ME: I NEED A FEMALE OPINION HB: SURE ME: REAL QUIK, I HAVE TO GET GOING. WOULD YOU PUT A RESTRAINING ON SOMEONE. MY BUDDIES EX- GIRL FRIEND KEPPS STALKING HIM. LAST WEEK SHE KEYED HIS CAR FOR NO REASON! HB: YEA, I WOULD PUT A RESTANING ORDER FROM THER YOU HAVE THERE ATTENTION. DONT GO TO DEEP INTO THE SUBJECT. MAKE SURE YOU NEG THEM AND SHOW DHV. EXAMPLE: YEA I AM GOING TO PICK HIM TONITE TO HELP CHEER HIM UP. I LOOK OUT FOR MY FRIENDS WHEN THEY NEED ME , JUST LIKE THEY DO FOR ME. TRY TO PERSONALIZE YOUR OPENERS. |

lol i must say you had more balls in choice of openers than i did for my first time props. In your first set, it may have been your delivery, try asking over the shoulder, and eliminate the curse word in your aproach. It can put people off especialy with in the first few moments of meeting you. You don't want the girl to automaticly get a first impression that your vulgar. As for the second set, good job aproaching from the angle, however unless your game is already tight i might wait to use that opener and maybe opt for it when your in A2 rather than A1. It is kinda direct and reveals your intentions right away. In A2 when your locked-in its funny and cocky, in A1 it says your just a bold AFC. It may work later on as a opener when your game is tighter and you exude confidence and have perfect body language. If the delivery was off it shows your not congruent with the line and thats a DLV. Another quick tip, when you roll off or freez out, she has to be attracted to you first other wise there won't be a fear of loss it loses its effect. and maybe even be a DLV. Way to go though, it seems you have gotten over AA which is a big step in its self. Just keep getting at it, and try to internalize your openers and routines if already havn't because there is nothing worse than stumbling on an opener, make it natural or you will find yourself blown out of a set before you even start. Just keep getting out there and having fun you will start to calibrate and you will notice things get easier and fall in place. |
