FRIDAY 03/09/2010 MILTON KEYNES UK Finally my first SARGE was looming. I was feeling confident about my outfit, sporting a smart checked shirt and my signature skinny jeans and pointy shoes. There was a small issue with the extreme length of my jeans but I turned them up on the inside and it was fine. I was really excited and anxiety was relatively low. We started at Lloyds, both L and myself had missed the fact that England were playing tonight. It was 9pm and the bar was dead and filled with a lot of chavy guys. We got our drinks, making small talk with the bar maid and set getting served a cocktail. We'd perched on a table in the middle of the bar looking for a set to open for about 15mins when I decided to go outside a try some Cigarette Game. I spotted a 2SET standing on the fringes of a larger SET. I shall refer to them as HB6 and HB7.5. I opened the HB 7.5 by asking for a light and then ran the TATOO opener. I paused before saying and was coy with its initial delivery, this was definitely nerves getting the best of me but it worked! L and me had been discussing breaking down the openers to make them quicker to deliver in a noisy club env. and limit the extent of canned material we were using to make it seem more natural. It worked well and gave the opener a bit more mileage before we had to fluff I.E. ME: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF TATOO'S? After the HBs respond and discuss then go into the rest of the opener of ME: IT'S MY SISTER, SHE WANTS TO GET A TATOO OF HER BF'S NAME ... We had locked in quickly and it was going well. L was on it never letting conversation run out with a few basic 'LIFE - LINES' we'd discussed (HOW DO YOU GUYS KNOW EACH OTHER? DO YOU COME OUT TO MK MUCH? ETC..) The HB 7.5 was definitely into L and I could see the HB6 feeling less involved so I powered into WINGMAN mode and bought her back in the group. It was fun! We were throwing NEGS, PUSH PULL, DHV, KINO they loved it!! And we had created a playful banterous SPAM. A word on NEGs at this point. I definitely over did it! Individually they weren't too harsh but I used too many. By the time I realised this I decided too stick with it and cultivate my new bad boy image. By NEGing the HB7.5 a lot I was DHVing L as a nice guy and pushing her too him. It helped his KINO and attraction phase so I was happy. This was turning into a team win. We'd also worked hard to talk to the rest of the group including the SETs Mum (They weren't sisters though??) our social proof was epic and we were leading the entire group. The set had told us they wanted us to come with them for the rest of the night and they had even changed their plans for the next night to come and meet us out in NORTH. I signaled to L that now would be a good time to leave the group and meet them later, giving them time to stew in our awesomeness. We told them we were meeting up with friends at the Slug & Lettuce (SOCIAL PROOF) and would catch up later. L number closed the HB7.5 and ILd his bracelet (Hero! Our first NC!!! ;D)). She was really keen making us swear we'd catch up with them later at Groove. The Slug and Lettuce was amazing! It was 1950's themed night rammed with SETs of HB8s and 9s! However we needed a sitrep (and not open more SETs) to take stock, stroke our massive egos and plan our next moves so L could KC. Which at this point looked certain .... We moved to Groove and they weren't there yet. We didn't text them as not to seem too clingy so we waited. We had spotted two gay guys that had joined the group just before we left. We knew we had to hit these guys and get them on side. If you lead the men you lead the women! They soon arrived and it was business as usual! I was leading some of the set outside for a smoke to try and leave L and HB7.5 alone so he could build attraction. However the HB7.5 soon slipped up by letting L know she had a BF! WTF!?!? I clarified this with the Mum. We both felt annoyed and frustrated and L was definitelynot up for BF DESTROYING we decided to wrap things up and move on to Oceana. It was a shame, but our game was tight and we completed some big objectives, we both agreed that he could have probably KC anyway but that’s not our style. Our confidence was still high and we moved on with little bad feeling about what had happened. We spent a lot of time building social proof at Oceana from the moment we were in the queue we were talking to as many people as we could. L opened a risky set of a girl and 2 guys with WHO LIES MORE? I came in and engaged the HB but were getting some resistance from the AMOG who walked away leading the HB with the gayest doggy bowl look I’ve ever seen a guy do! Soon went outside and I opened 2SET holding an UG and HB7 with WHO LIES MORE? They were called (Physically as well! The HB& was shivering with a jumper wrapped round her) ad we quickly moved on. At the Bar L opened a woman next him who was getting served quickly with TEACH ME HOW YOU DO THAT? she loved and it demonstrated L's opportunistic and positive attitude towards APPROACH. He was still buzzing of our success earlier. Back upstairs I saw a 2SET sitting down, from a far they were a HB6 and 8 but up close the 8 was lush and I re-graded her a 9. I opened with LIES? they engaged and enjoyed the topic the HB( quickly let on she had a BF and a baby so I left them. When I was in the toilet L approached a lone SET at the bar with tactile opener, bumping into her and then saying YOU JUST BUMPED INTO ME! It was a good opener and different APPROACH that I will have to try myself! However he said he started well but panicked when the barmaid said she was shut and walked away from the SET a mistake but understandable. We weren't feeling Dance Floor Game and decided to go, we looked at the Subway and KFC queue even opening with SUBWAY VS KFC? but they were stupidly long. And so concludes my first SARGE! Overall it was a huge success my confidence has been boosted massively and the whole experience has really opened my eyes, with my biggest revelation being that of alcohol. I was so worried about not drinking, I thought I wouldn't have as much fun and that I wouldn't be as confident ad chatty but that just wasn't the case. Not drinking excelled my game immeasurably and the bigger the drunkenness gap between me and the SET the easier the game became. People use alcohol as a social crutch but the truth is it does the opposite. There's no way I would have been as funny, witty or interesting if I was drinking. ALCOHOL IS BULLSHIT |

Good job man! =) Good to see you get out there and having a crack. After the first time you start giving it a go your confidence soars through the roof. My mates have already commented on seeing a difference in me. Your thoughts about alcohol are very interesting, I love to drink a lot when I go out but have noticed that it has stuffed me up when trying to pick up at times. Will have to go out sober for a change and see how it works =) Looking forward to more FR man, sounds like your off to a good start Cheers, Creamy |

Good read and well done. It was so weird reading this because me and my mate went out sarging properly for the first itme on exactly the same day as you did with pretty much the same results! Even to the point where we too, forgot that the footy was on! Total sausage fest in the bars to begin with. It was interesting to read that your confidence from opening the first set propelled you to open more and more as we experienced the same. Hope you have more good sarges ahead! |

Cheers Steam/Creamy glad you enjoyed reading it! Steam, awesome to hear you had good first sarge, don't know about you but i thought we we're going to bomb when we found out the football was on and all we could see was blokes out! Would love to read a FR on yours if you want to post it!? I'll post the second FR in the next couple of days sadly it didn't go as well but there was lessons learnt so still productive. Dodger out
