| Post subject: | FR#29: Day Game Opened HB9.5 --> Crash n Burn |
FR#29 July. 2. 2010 Location: The Mall So today while I was working at the mall, I got a call from my wing who told me he wasnt going to be able go out tonight because he was sick. Honestly, I was pretty relieved that he couldnt go out, because I felt pretty tired and run down today as well. Anyways, after I talked to him I decided that I should atleast get some practice in on my lunch break... On my break I was in the food court looking for a good place to grab a snack. I was unsure of what to get when I noticed an HB9.5 Platinum Blonde (I never give out 10's) in line at Starbucks. I hesitated for a second but then thought to myself "fuck it". So I got in line. She was the 2nd person ahead of me. So I place my order and then go to wait for my drink. On the way to the drink counter I notice she has a Hello Kitty band aid on her hand so I quickly decide to neg opener with... ME:"Im sorry, but do you actually have a Hello Kitty band aid on your hand lol" (said with a smile). HER: She blushes and makes some comment. I couldnt hear her. ME: "haha OMG thats so asian of you!" HER: She laughs and makes another comment about the mall. I still couldnt hear her though! ME: "ya I dont like coming here, but I work here" HER: "Oh ya, what store do you work at? ME: "name of store" HER: "Oh Ive never been there. I work at ______" ...and from there I absolutely crashed and burned. For most of the conversation I couldnt really hear what she was saying. After she told me where she worked I asked her a question about her store, and I couldnt hear her response. So I just started rambling on nervously. I found myself talking way to fast and too much, and I definitely failed to steer the convo in the direction I wanted it. Anyways, she ended up getting her drink and said "well have fun at work!" I definitely felt like she was initially interested in me, I just got too nervous. And I feel like I displayed that nervousness while I was talking to her because I was talking to damn fast, and saying some stupid things. Looking back on the conversation, Im content with how I opened, but I screwed up on the transition. Maybe its because I wasnt expecting her to recieve my opener that well? Or maybe its because I couldnt hear her that well either? Its probably a combination of everything. Anyways, at the end of the day this is another learning experience. Im happy I was able to open a girl like her during the day. And the fact that I know I could've gotten her if I did things properly only makes me want to go out and approach more sets! lol |

Dude Kudos on opening a set like that in the day! I really liked your intro, but your conversation got stale and boring. Usually I would joke about her looks and try to get the conversation on something fun or sexual! Also try to kino her if possible! If you know where she works, you could always stop by after work and ask if she wants to go for a walk to get a drink with you or whatever. Good luck next time! |

Mate, that ain't a crash and burn; that's a start and flop. Means you started off well, then you just flopped and fizzled rather than ending with a bang. Crash and burn would be that she takes one look at you and goes "you're a loser" and just walks away. |

Thanks man...well Im aware my convo got stale and boring but thats because I couldn't hear her talk, so I compensated by rambling nervously. Otherwise I would've steared it in the fun direction. And I did kino a little bit after the opener.I really liked your intro, but your conversation got stale and boring. Usually I would joke about her looks and try to get the conversation on something fun or sexual! Also try to kino her if possible! If you know where she works, you could always stop by after work and ask if she wants to go for a walk to get a drink with you or whatever. Good luck next time! I do know where she works now, since I have to walk past it every time I go on break. I really want to go in there and re-open her but man I dont want to go in there without a plan. How should I go about re-opening her? Should I open one of her co-workers first and win the co-worker over? Or should I go in and look for stuff in the store and when I see her point at her and go "hey hello kitty girl!" or something stupid like that? |

I don't think theres a magic formula persay, but sooner than later is going to be better. I always am one to take the direct approach. |

Good job opening a 9.5 (lol, I don't give out tens very easily either). But I think you might have missed your chance on a second mild neg about teasing her for speaking quietly, mumbling, or not projecting her voice confidently... The good news is that you might be able to reengage her since you know where she works. So you didn't "crash and burn," you just landed hard and need a couple more flights to N-close her or even bounce her from the mall for a coffee or a drink... |
