I'm relatively new to PU. I've known about the community for some time but I'm only getting into the thick of it now, mostly because of a one-tis with a girl who rejected me. This was my first night out in the real wide world of pick up but I had terrible AA as you'll see. Friday night. It started in Scream bar. It was just me and four friends (none of whom are PUAs although two of them have read about it). The bar was pretty dead, just some groups of guys and girls, of which not one of them was above a HB6. This was my first mistake, although I don't like to call it that. I should have used these sets to warm up for the later part of the night. But you live and learn - like I said before I don't like to call it a mistake because a mistake is never a mistake, its just a way that doesn't work. I can't remember who said that! lol, do you know? Anyways after Scream we met up with some other friends and my friend's sister who's birthday it was. Me and two other friends decided to grab some food instead while everyone else headed off to Modo. We ate and we rejoined the others later in Lagos, which was pretty buzzing although with middle-aged men and again nobody above a HB6. There was no one to really open at Lagos so I just kept talking to my friends. Again with hindsight I should have used this opportunity to open anyone, male or female, to warm up for would what happen later. After Lagos shut its doors, we headed to Bumper where things got interesting. While waiting in line to get into Bumper I saw this cute HB10 girl ahead of us in the line. Anyways when we got in Bumper was completely full, but I had way too much AA to open anyone by myself. And it was even worse because it was so loud (I'm known to be kind of quite at times!) and I could barely hear anything that was being said, even by my friends. Anyways, my friends decided to take a breather from partying and headed downstairs, away from all the women! And naturally I followed. At the moment I'm just not that comfortable or confident in thrusting myself out there and opening by myself in bars and clubs (daygame is pretty different although I haven't had much success there - yet! lol), which is why I'm still on the lookout for any real wingmen! lol Anyways, while in Bumper, while my friends were having a breather, I decided to a little wander and get a drink. I didn't open anyone but I realise that at least I put myself out there somewhat instead of staying with my friends downstairs - the next objective is to actually open some sets! lol. And it didn't help of course that the music was so loud that I could barely think straight! Anyways while getting my drink I was the HB10 again. She was talking to some random guy, we'll call him X, so I just blew it off and headed back downstairs. Me and my friends stayed downstairs until closing time. When we left Bumper, we stayed outside the club thinking about what to do next. While standing around with everyone else, I saw HB10 again talking to some new random guy, who we'll call Y. My friend asked Y for a lighter and got into a conversation with the guy and HB10. I entered the conversation and found out that X, Y and HB10 were actually all Spanish and at university in the city (whether they knew one another before that night was unclear but it seemed to me that they'd all just met randomly). Anyways while X and Y went off to talk on the phone and smoke HB10 was all alone. I knew this was the perfect opportunity to open her but with thinking that my mind just froze up and I couldn't come up with a opener. At this point my friends all decided to head back to my friends flat and naturally I followed. Anyways, the night ended in a (safe) drunken incident of trying to light candles without a lighter or match sticks (one of the candles was already lit so it was pretty much about trying to get the others lit! lol) With hindsight, which is the most beautiful thing in the world I think we'd all agree, I have to seize the opportunity to open and run with it. As someone posted elsewhere: Quote: “girls do not go to a bar just to talk to each other! They can do that at home with a cup of coffee as well (and they do!)”
