Disclaimer: Being a newbie to the forum, I am not entirely sure this topic is in the right place.

I recently got into the PUA thing (yesterday lol) after going through some girl issues. I'm getting over some one-itis and working on turning my Aproach Anxiety into Approach Excitement (credit to Chief's post).

Every now and then I'm going to post a status report on what I've done, and what I've accomplished. This is the first. Writing these out is entirely for my own benefit, but if I figured why not write them here where I can get some feedback and maybe inspire some other people.

So on to the main event...
I read something by Tynan about going to a park and asking 50 girls, no matter how they look, the time. And there was a sticky in the newbie section about not posting anything until you go out and say hi to 50 women.

Well, I copped out of the second one. What I've been doing is making eye contact and smiling with every female I walk past (something you can do anywhere. There's no excuse to not do it). Something I've noticed is a lot of times when you make eye contact, the girl's reaction is to look away, so you have to time the smile properly to get a reaction. This has been helpful in 2 ways:

1: I no longer have any problem just smiling at random females. Whatsoever.
2: I've learned to do an authentic smile on cue better (its harder than I thought it would be).

I've done this with like 60 girls. About 50 % of the time, they don't even notice cause they're looking elsewhere. I know they won't notice, but I'm gonna do it anyways. Around 25% of the time, when I've made I contact, they'd look away before I smiled. And the other 25% of the time, they smile back. Once, an HB2 just looked down (I don't believe hot babe is the correct acronym for this one lol).

Now, for a lot of you guys this is probably nothing, but for me this is a big step. I probably wouldn't have had any problem with this a month ago, but getting dumped decimated my confidence.

The other thing I've been doing is Tynan's ask for the time technique. I've done this with maybe 10 girls outside my uni. Its what I started out with. First few times I felt gut wrenching fear. The rest, I was just amused by the fact that I was asking for the time lol. By the way, I have to recommend this. For anyone who is too timid to go up to random girls and say hi, this is great.

Last part of status report: 2 Actual field reports.

1. Last night: HB 8. I was chilling in a bar with some friends, and met some new guys that were friends of friends. There was this HB 8 sitting alone, and everyone in the group started hitting on her. One of the new guys I met, David, was the only one doing it with any balls though. I half-heartedly tried the whole night, talking with her, doing some kino and she was responding with some kino as well. I end up backing off though, recognizing from her body language that she was definitely interested in David.

There's not really much to analyze here because frankly, I wasn't paying very much attention to this attempt. It was very half-assed. Lesson here is to not half-ass anything. Its a cop out, and its pretty weak. The other lesson was to pay more attention so I can review it properly.

2. An hour ago. I was walking back to my dorm when I noticed this girl behind me was following me. I get hit by a bit of AA, but I just think, whatever, its AE (seriously, if you haven't read that post by chief, its great. Props to him). So when the girl turns onto the same street I'm going to, I look back at her and say:

Me: "Are you following me?" *smile
HB6.5: You wish.
I feel like I could have come up with a brilliant response her, but I didn't think of anything. However, I was unphazed. She's lucky I worked up the balls to talk to her.
Me: lol, you're a feisty one. Do you live around here?
HB6.5: No I'm going to Uni.
We fluff for a little bit about her classes, where she goes to school, when she graduates, etc. Then we get to the corner.
HB6.5: Well, this is where I turn. Here's where I stop following you lol.
Me: Alright then, you have a nice day.

Okay, I know I should have number closed. Also, I used virtually no kino. If anyone has any other feedback, it would be great.

Incidentally, this is exactly the kind of thing I want to do well. Be able to pick up women as I go about my day, living my life.

TLDR: I'm a noob and I'm going to start posting on my progress. Working on getting rid of AA and talking to more females.

good start there mate. im a newb aswell lol and i only just got over AA (but i still get nervous, so i guess ive just accepted it).

Ive started writing my own journal on my PC and ive got a 'situation openers' document aswell. ive basically wrote LOADS of opener's for all different situations i experience dayly.

thanx for like giving me some advice lol, i never considered to just go out and ask girls for the time XD
I may go out tomorrow and just do this over and over again.
That i have never come up with this one djeeze :oops:

all your responses have fucking made my day, on top of other things that have happened. Also I'm hammered.

You guys have some good fucking luck with women. Wherever you fail, I hope random chance carries you.
