I'm at a club I go to maybe once or twice a month. I'm wearing jeans, with a dress shirt and a loose fitting tie my standard peacock gear if I'm going out to meet HBs. My brother goes up with me to buy drinks from the bar. "Hey. You look familiar." Bartender "Is that a line?" Barney "No. *laughs* seriously do you come here much?" bartender "Every now and then." Barney Heres when the problem with picking up a bartender comes in... other customers. If I just stood there and waited till she was free again, I'd look desperate and afc like. So I simply exited and waited a while and for her to be free of customers. "Can I get a beer?" barney "Sorry. We only have shots at this bar." bartender "Well thats lame." barney "Yea, I know. *laughs in a flirty way*" bartender "What steps can we take to figure out where you think you know me." Barney A customer approaches just as she starts to answer. I try to set the frame like I'm letting her go. "I'll let you help him first." barney She takes his order and disappears beside the till bent over, I couldn't tell what she was doing. When she returns, she hands the other customer his drink and me a sticky note with her name and phone number. I politely exit and tell her I'll text her tomorrow. Hopefully, I can turn this post into a LR by the end of the week. B-Man |
