| Post subject: | I destroyed the Cube. |
So today I ran the Cube on this chick. It was a Day 2 and we were hanging out at Starbuck's. I learned where she wanted to major in Psychology, and instead of "oh yeah, thats interesting, I did too for a while before I took internships on education..." blah blah blah, my mind kicked in and I remembered the Cube. So here's how it went: Me: so you like psychology, huh? Have you ever heard of a technique psychiatrists use called the Cube? Her: No, what is it? Me: well they'll probably never teach it to you in class, because what you have to do is actually think for yourself and interpret very small signals that the other person gives off. In fact, I bet if I run it on you, I'll know more about you than...your friends do. Wanna try it out for yourself? Her: Sure, it sounds pretty interesting. Me: okay, what I'm going to do is ask you to imagine and then explain to me certain symbols. First, I want you to imagine yourself in a field, on top of a hill. Green grass, rolling hills, blue sky, the works. Now you walk down this hill, only to be faced by a cube. Describe this cube...meaning: the size, color, etc. Her: Blue, kind of transparent. It's also slightly humming...wow, thats weird. Me: Is it on the ground? Her: Yeah, its not floating or anything. Me: Okay, now there's a ladder. How is it in relation to the cube? Floating, flat, tall, leaning, wood, metal, etc. Her: Well, its leaning against it, made out of wood and a little taller than the cube thing. Me: Ok, next there's some flowers. Are they all one color? Close or near the cube and ladder? Her: Um, they're near the cube, and also under the ladder. And they're yellow, white and pink. Me: Are they separated by color or all mixed in with each other? Her: Mixed. Me: Okay, here's where it gets interesting. There's a horse in the picture. What color is it? Is it leaning against the cube, laying down, walking around the cube, walking away, walking towards it...what is it doing? Her: I see a white horse, leaning against the cube. But for some reason it just laid down in the grass...I kind of see it doing both. Me: okay, last question: there's rain clouds on the horizon. Are they dark and ominous, or just a summer sprinkle? What about thunder or lightning, is that present? Her: It's a bit of a drizzle...kind of grey, but I can hear some thunder, but no lightning. Me: okay, we're done. Now I get to interpret all this. You might wanna get comfy with that smoothie, cause this might take a second. But trust me, you'll be pretty surprised. *Okay, just as a side note, the following here is when you have to read their facial expressions and kino accordingly. The key here is to show yourself as the thing she wants. Me: Alright. So, the Cube that you saw was actually yourself. The blue coloration shows that you're pretty calm, but the fact that its also transparent means that you can have mood swings because your calm entity isn't always solid. The humming you hear is actually your personality...since you're not humming loudly, that shows that you don't scream "Hey look at me!" But when people come closer, they can feel your calming and fun being. Now we'll move on to the ladder, which represents your aspirations. It's leaning against you, so it shows that you're in touch with them and know what you want to do in life. The ladder is slightly taller than you, which is showing that you want to climb above what you are now, but not set your goals so high that you can't reach them. Next come your friends, represented by these flowers. It's good that they're near you and the ladder, because it reveals that not only do they stand near you, but they support your dreams too. They seem to almost grow off your radiant energy that you give off. The colors show that you have friends from all parts of the social spectrum, and even though they all have their own "look," they still interact with each other with no problems. Here comes the Horse. I told you it was interesting, and this is why: it describes your ideal man. The horse you described shows all the other guys you've seen or been with before. The white hair shows that you think, based on their appearances, they are almost perfect and pure. But when you let them in on your lfe, they become dependant on you. This is why that horse you pictured was leaning against you. However, when it laid down, it showed that even when you decide to break up with that man, he still stays near and is insistant on feeding off that energy you give off. This is your sub conscious telling you that you need to stop judging men by what they look like at first, and be careful of who you let in. Because even though they look perfect, they are all the same weak and dependant people at the end of the day. You need a stronger man, and not a parasite. Last thing was the storm. This, of course is your life troubles. Since it's only a light shower, you just have an ordinary amount of stresses and things, like work and school. However, the thunder sounds shows that even though you have a great being and entity, you still have the big arguments and things can get a little heated. *Another note: don't think I was sitting here the entire time just blabbing. Like I said, just kino, judge her face, let her ask questions, let her talk, etc. This is just the rundown of what I was saying. keep it a conversation, not a speech. At the end, she was very surpised and lost for words. I just sat back, sipped on my coffee and watched her stumble on her words. Then of course, I had to break the tension with some c/f: "You know, the ladder is also your mother trying to push you off her couch so she can watch her soaps on TV." She laughed at that and we had a damn good rest-of-the-night. |

Uhhh... I think the flowers represent her children, the ladder represents her friends and the storm you shouldn't tell her where it is. The distance from the cube is key as to it reperesents how up front her troubles are in her life. If you got in her pants, its all good. but you may want to check what the different items mean. Theres an actual book on it. |
