ok so I just had my first date of my life. All thanks to pick-up-artistry. I'm 20, and currently in my hometown, nyc, staying at my parents place. I meet this girl online and really hit it off. I eventually got her aim and number and I've been gaming her ever since until the meetup. I'm going back to school this saturday, so I'm not going to see her for a long time. Thing is she has a boyfriend, I simply ignored the topic everytime it came up. I'm pretty sure she just wanted to be physical with me, and I'm fine with that. We met in chinatown, during the day, and I told her I needed her to help me pick out a necklace and some rings (to be used in my future peacocking). She helped me look around and we did the whole window shopping and joking about the cheap chinese knockoffs. When we were selecting the necklace I told her to put it on for me I was having 'trouble', she did and I got a bit of kino out of it. We then walked around for a bit leaving chinatown. That's when she started asking me why I was being so quiet and shy. I actually thought I was doing fine, but I guess she expected me to be more gregarious. I tried to remedy that by getting into deep rapport with questions like 'what were you like in high school?' and 'what are you passionate about?'. These would have been great if we weren't walking at the same time. We stopped by a clothing store, the radio mentioned something about 'BJ's the store'. She said 'bj's are awesome' I said 'yeah, they're opening one up by my house', she said 'I'm not talking about that kind'. Massively AFC in retrospect. We eventually got to a park (I needed to save the situation). Where I started running the palm reading routine and negging her on her music tastes. The palm reading went great. And she was qualifying to me on the music. We had to cut things short because she need to go to the vet at 6pm. We walked to the train station. While waiting for the train I got her to follow me around, she didn't know her way around the station. While waiting at the platform, I tried to build more kino by playing thumb wrestling and telling her not to show me her bellybutton piercing (they always show you, when you say not to The train was completely packed and we managed to squeeze inside. She said 'we're way beyond dinner and a movie!' to which I replied 'yeah I know, shopping for cheap chinese jewelry is awesome!'. I told her I definitely wanted to see her the next time I was in town and she agreed. I think what messed me up is that this was during the day, I've never kissed a girl let alone while having ppl watch me. I'm sure she would have been receptive though. She was giving me massive ioi's and trying to make me jealous by mentioning her boyfriend and how she's sore from having sex with him. I didn't have any place to invite her to have some privacy, I don't even have my own room or apartment. And she lives with her boyfriend. Things to improve: opening up, leading the interaction, not being afraid to kino (holding hands, kissing), I should have taken her hand while navigating the crowds. We should have also pretended to be tourists, I completely forgot I was carrying my camera with me This has given me a huge confidence boost. And will help tremendously with overcoming my AA. Any comment's are appreciated. And if this is the wrong section to post this in please feel free to move it. |

Right on bro! Keep up the good work and as far as the boyfriend thing is concerned, I personally wouldn't sweat it. She's probably testing you to see if your fazed by the situation. Let us know your progress with this girl. Good job on the rapport building by the way. Cheers, Nineteen |
