i have to preface this with, this is not a normal field report. it doesnt involve picking up women at all. in fact there are no women involved. Ok, so i just got back from looking at a house that i'm looking to rent. now to fully appreciate this FR you have to know that i am terrible in social situations. i often dont get jobs or get approved for loans or leases because of it. An interview type situation is my worst nightmare. So, I show up to the place. first of all I'm like 30 minutes early, so the guys not really setup yet and he's a little off guard. i go up and i actually started with the two handed handshake to help build some familiarity(Kino works on guys!). So we're talking and I'm using every single technique I've learned so far from MM to build repor. Before we got into looking at the house, I wanted to build some repor to make the walkthrough less intense and also DHV a little. So I asked him if he was an agent or if he owned it. I was wanting to find out if he was an investor(I can relate to that) and it turned out that he was so we had a ten minute conversation in the living room before even discussing the house(building repor). Now, i've adequately built up enough comfort and shown enough DHV so that he is comfortable talking to me on an investor level. I'm no longer a prospective tenant. I'm now a coworker, or a partner in tnis particular realestate deal. So, we move on to lookin at the house. At this point, I'm DHVing and asking a lot of questions as if I can walk out of here and get any house i want. i actually get him qualifying the place to me and appologising for things that aren't done properly and pointing out things that could have been done differently. Telling me places that he skimped on the budget. In the beginning, I set out to treat this like a pickup. as style says "everything is pickup" and my main goal here was to make the interaction last for at least 30 minutes. I ended up spending at least 90 minutes with this guy. at that point, another prospective tenant came to the door and he flat out told me on my way out "I've got a lot of other people coming to see the place, BUT i like you. you have a good prescense" So at this point it's pretty much in my court as to whether I want this house or not. instead of waiting to hear his decision, he's waiting to hear mine. Believe me when I tell you that this game isnt just for picking up women. It's for getting what you want out of life. peace out guys, dean |

I find myself using game on friends and guys in order to get my way. I am still working on this part of gaming, but- I see steady improvement. I also find myself viewing many of my social interactions in terms of Value Balance and trying to raise mine while lowering others... |

ha...My friend got in super bad trouble with his mom today. and as soon as I went home with him his mom started bitching and gave me a ride home. I used my game on her, and managed to validate my friends actions. (by the way my friend is albino, and has bad body language because he can see expressions very well.) Anyways what I am trying to get at is my friend got in way less trouble then he would have if I didn't sweet talk his mother. So I agree the game works in all situations...sometimes to help a brother out, not even for yourself. |
