OH MAN I CAN KILL MYSELF lol.
i feel like such an idiot. heres the story:
im at work. taco bell, like in my bj close post. my two friends come in and sit at the table right next to the front counter. there's a line, and a very cute girl is at the end. these two friends of mine know i like the ladies lol. now its her turn in line. i had a routine planned in my head...heres how it would have gone:
me: hey, how you doing?
her: fine, thanks.
me: you know, i like your hair.
her: thanks!
me:it looks alot better than most the people i see all day. in fact, you look alot better than most the girls i see here...
and take it from there. but remember, my friends are sitting three feet away staring at the menu. here's what really went down...
hb 8: "i'll have a blah blah blah..."
afc dickhead (best)friends: "quit staring, man!"
hb8 turns and looks, and the afc friends of mine turn around.
hb8: have they been sitting there all day?
me: nah. they didnt know what they wanted and theyre deciding.
hb8: do you know them?
me: i know them from my old school. im not friends with them though.
lol, keep in mind that theyre actually some skate/graff friends of mine. hes not really an afc, but just more like trying to kill my game lol. we do it all the time. helps us improvise in the field, you know? anyways...
hb8: theyre kind of obnoxious.
me: i know, but thats fast food jobs for you i guess. at least thyre not making fun of you, right?
hb8: i guess. but if they were, id have to use my two months of karate on them.
me: oh yeah? i took that a a kid. got up to orange belt. maybe we should lay the smackdown on them?
her: hah, yeah.
me: well, at least you look good enough to dodge the 'look at that nasty lady' remarks, huh?
her: yeah, well thanks! anyways, ill have....(i do the cashier shit).
hb8: so do you get any kind of weirdos in here?
me: well, one night in drive thru i got a group of potheads on a huge trip.
anyways, shes laughing, were connecting, im building rapport, shes got these huge ioi's going on, shes telling me shes not into smoking or drinking (and im high fiveing myself mentally) my friends peace out, were still talking....and i get another customer. she winds up getting her food right when im done with this dude. too bad she got it to go, but what do you expect at 11:30 pm? so we talk a bit more, and i ask her her age.
hb8: well, i dont usually give out my age.
me: oh, okay. thats cool. keeps the pedos away, right?
hb8: hah, yeah.how old do you think i am?
me: hmmm. *thinks* maybe like 45?
hb8: um, i hope not (smiling)
me: nah, just kidding. maybe...19?
her: maybe (out comes that sexy boner giving smile...you know. not the generic one. the one that she consciouly gives you).
her: how old are you?
me: 18
her: ahh, okay...blah blah blah
well the convos dying down and my managers riding my ass about me not doing my work.
her: well i hope im not getting you in trouble. i guess i should be going. ill see you later
me: well shoot, you better!
her: oh i will, trust me. HUGE smile.
and she walks out the door. now here's where i kick myself in the nuts mentally. i could have number closed easily! and all i had to do was this:
me: well how do i know youre not gonna just lie to me? -fake pouty face- (or something to that extent.)
her: well, i dont know.
me: well maybe you dont have to wait till next time and see me at work. maybe we can chill sometime?
her: sure :]
BAM. number close. if only....
you see, ive been so loaded up with skating, work, graduation, and all the other shit, i took a break from the game. and here is exactly where it killed me, because my mind functioned two seconds too late. even worse, im leaving for michigan in three days. ill be gone for eight days. i work for the remaining three before i leave. so ill be gone during the most likely time she'll return. so i just lost out on the cutest girl ive seen in a while. oh well....thats life :/
but the good news is, marquette michigan is home of the internatonal food fest, and a hell of an independence day celebration. so i can sarge my ass off halfway across the country for eight whole days. but of course, im in "girlfriend mode," where im looking for a keeper and not a one nighter. so that one girl at taco bell....oh fuckin well.
