Hey guys, figure I ought to contribute to the FRs
There's this HB8 that I've been interested in for the past year or so (lol), but never pursued because of whatever reason (lack of game, imo). Well I finally developed some game so I would strike up casual conversation whenever I saw her, never really going into a set though.
Well one day she adds me on Myspace/Facebook and we comment back and forth, and she sends me this 5 question comment, so I just reply to her
(This is a set I've worked on that typically works)
"Jeez girl, next time you want to interrogate me just call or text me, lol"
Her: "lol, sorry. I don't have your number"
So I give it to her and wait...and wait. I realized that she saw through it and wait a few days to try to recover. We started Im'ing over facebook one night and she asks me about my job so I tell her what I do (I'm a vendor @ fairs) and she gets really curious, so I offer to send her a picture.
Girl: Sure here's my number.
Me: K, I just sent it.
Girl: You know, that was a lame attempt to get my number.
Me: It worked didn't it
Girl: Yea whatever, I should've made you work for it. lol
So we talked for a little bit and I cut it short because "I had to be up early for work"...but for the most part I ignored her until I got back in town (for fear of falling into the friend trap)
When I got back into town I went to the grocery store (where she works), I walk past her and she says hi, I look at her, smile, and keep walking to go talk to a couple of guys I know for 5-10 minutes. After I get done talking to them I walk back over to her as if I just now saw her and we talk for a few minutes, and my brain preceded my mouth.
Me: What time do you get off?
Girl: 6:00
Me: Dang, that sucks, my bead time is at 5!
Girl: What?! Are you serious?
Me: (seriously) Yea, I have to get up at 10 in the morning.
Girl: ....Wait, what? (Laughing)
Me: I know right?
Girl: We'll I guess we can't hang out then...(sarcastically)
Me: Meh, I'll make an exception...I'll call you at 6:30.
Girl: Okay, 6:30 it is.
So I go home and fall asleep on my couch (like a retard) and forget to set an alarm. I wake up at 6:30, and I immediately think I was supposed to call her at 6. So in a half awake panic I call her and have the most awkward phone conversation, because I didn't plan on going out to eat so when she said she was hungry all I could think of was:
"So you wanna eat something first or get something from in town?"
And thus begins my intense nervousness, which pretty much compounded over the night.
We went out for mexican and I began to act AFC (I do that when I get nervous, lol) no kino-escalation whatsoever. But I kept her laughing for the most part.
After we ate we went out to go bowling and I regained myself and was cool. We made up a game that whenever one of us got a strike we had to act all excited, so when I got a strike we'd high-five and then every time I got one I made sure to hold her hands a little bit longer each time, fortunately enough I'm a pretty good bowler XD.
After we got done bowling I took her back home and walked her to the door, and since its been so damn long since I've been on a formal date I forgot to check for IOIs for a kiss, and just got a hug and a 2nd date...which never transpired I might add....lol.
Anyways, that's my latest and greatest field report, I think I did good up until the date when I lost my composure, lol. Any suggestions, tips, comments are gladly welcome.
