Post subject:  Clozer's 3 a day report June 1, 2009
I got to a work site early today and had about 30 minutes. I was going to try to get 3 number closes in that time. Here's how it went:

1st attempt:

At the train station there was an HB 9.5 apparently waiting for someone. I had approach anxiety, but after collecting myself I walked up to her confidently and asked her for some directions. I negged her once about her nose, but she didn't seem to get it. Right when I about to go into my number close routine somebody called her on her cell and I was left in an awkward position. I didn't want to stand there and wait like a stalker and I had already told her I was in a hurry to meet someone. I ended up walking away...

2nd attempt:

Hot girl standing on the corner. I guess she was waiting for someone too. Right when I approached her, her boyfriend came up and I started to shit bricks a little. But I was okay because I had only asked her for directions, which is a perfectly normal reason to talk to a stranger. Her and her boyfriend end up walking me to the place I had asked directions for. I had to play along and then ejected after they got me to the place I was supposedly looking for.

3rd attempt:

By now my inner game is getting week. It seems like it's just one of those days where nothing is going to go right. I see this girl walking down the street with an incredible ass. She then stops on the corner as if she's waiting for someone. I approach. I noticed when I was standing there talking to her I was standing facing the same directions as her. I was doing this as to be non-threatening. But somehow it ended up being kind of awkward. When I went for the number close she shot me down.

4th attempt:

I was pissed by now and had to get to my work place quickly. A cute HB 7.5 walks by me and I pull my usual lines. I go for the number close and hook her. She gives me her and it seems like a hot lead.

Result:

I was 1 for 4 today in my 30 minute challenge. Only 25%. After work I ended up number closing 2 more girls, but it took a full hour. One girl was really stuck up and told me how a lot of guys hit on her. It's like she was alreayd prepared to shut me down. But I fucking worked it good. I tired a new routine which I'm going to start using from now on. But by the end of that routine both of us were busting up laughing and she finally gave me her number. That was truley a sweet victory.

Lessons Learned:

-making a girl laugh goes a long way
-side by side standing is not always the best way to position yourself after approaching someone in daytime pickup

but anyway. respect for the balls necessary on going over and talking to the babe in the first place.

So, how do you handle it? I guess that it is really important to not take things so damned seriously. In the clubs you see the typical babe who won't even talk to you. Real stuck up bitches. It is good to have a go with those for practise on dealing with bitch shields, shit tests etc.
I guess all you can do is pat yourself on the back for having had courage to do it and pick yourself up and try again just like the song says.

Yep. To help with this, work on building your inner confidence that doesn't nessecarliy rely on anything, just knowing you can do it if you relax. Once you do something enough, you can just relax. I find that when I wasn't thinking about "hitting on her" and just started talking for conversation, I never get any "anxiety" and end up performing my best.
