Location: Slug and Lettuce Pub, Soho Date: 28 May, 2009 Wingmen: Keon We've been cruisin for a few hours, it's early and there are no sets to speak of. We've both opened but failed to nail hook point. I'm told that this is the hardest part of game to master and I except that but with the success we had last week, it irks me and I feel like I've taken two steps back. We've gotten directions, started conversations but failed to bring them to suitable DHV routines and move to a better level - this night is a waste. Was so desperate for a result I ended up reverting to AFC tactics and ploughed a number out of a german lass on the street. It also doesn't help that being well dressed young professional guys walking through soho means that everybody thinks we're gay - REALLY gay, not 'if-I-wasn't-gay-you'd be-mine-gay'. Most notable point of the night was when we entered the slug and I was just keen to practice. I turn to K. "Dude, see that 3 set in the corner table - open them". He stares at me "Nah, man. Fuck that!" "Whatdya mean?! Don't be a chump, man, open the three set" "Constant, that's not a three set - that's a set of threes!" I pissed myself with laughter. Learning Points 1. If ur going to practice at least put urself in the game 2. Have pride in at least attempting 3. Two lucky nights does not the player maketh. |
