Hey everyone,
I want to be an active part of this community, so it's only right that i post my first field report.
I'm recently single, which has brought me back into the Game, so i'm still getting my feet wet. I've been just trying to improve my posture, my style, my outgoingness, etc. So last night, i took a big, big step forward.
I went to a party of a friend of mine, just a small gathering, really. Anyways, i walk in and immediately make sure that i'm seen as alpha to everyone there. I say hello to the group, in a little-bit-too-loud voice, so that attention is drawn to me. I then start talking to my buddy who had gotten there about 20 minutes before, just about bs. There's 2 girls in the room, a HB8.5 who is with her boyfriend (possibly fiance), and an HB7.5 who i had met previously. I say hi to the HB8.5 and her BF first, and then a casual hi to the HB7.5, who I had deemed to be my target. She's a cute redheadded freckled girl, with a sweet ass and gorgeous eyes. I DHV'd to the whole group, talking about my band and the gigs we had coming up etc etc.
Anyways, i waited until she got up to go to the washroom, and i left the room and headed outside as an 'ignoring' tactic. I was standing in a group, and she ended up next to me, back to me, talking to her friends. I ignored for a few minutes, and then came up with a great neg! She had on a super long necklace, and it went like this:
Me: Wow, that's a long necklace!
HB: thanks
Me: yeah, the only other people i see wearing necklaces THAT long are teachers. You know, the long metal ones with the little locket on the end or something
HB: (laughs)
the group then interjects, and one of the guys is like 'ya, i see what you mean' (DHV with agreement of group). Then one of her friends is like 'wow, now THERE's a nice compliment!' sarcastically. This confirmed that it was a neg, but everyone laughed at it so it made it fun and not hurtful at all. I KINO'd, saying i'm just kidding, don't be sensitive, blah blah.
I was then able to isolate and talk to her about random shit. negged a bit more, talked about travel etc. Kept some great eye contact and made her laugh a whole lot. 2 game-type things i said were
-'have we met before?' knowing full well that we had.
-She said that she had been to rome, so I also mentioned that i had a model friend who had been. I think that one was over the top, and probably not a great DHV.
I wanted to cat and string her, so i got up and left and got a beer, and returned outside but went to another part of the patio
Didn't go TOO well after that, as i think i might have ignored her a bit too much...she didn't approach me again or anything. But we did have a few more flirty looks, etc. They left shortly, since it was a week night, but a few people noticed and said 'she was INTO you man'. made me feel good.
Anyways - no k close, no # close, nothing like that. But, a step in the right direction and shows me that all this focus on improving my outer and inner game is starting to pay off.
Oh, and i'll be seeing her (probably) at a group function on saturday. I'll let you know if anything happens
