I was doing some work at a local book store earlier today and waiting for my brother and part-time wing T-Bone to pick me up. He came in to get me and we walked together to the car. Before getting in I saw a two set walk through the parking lot into the book store coffee shop. T-Bone looked exghausted after his constant errands but I looked at him with a big grin to say "Hey, we're pretty much made of time right?" I hadn't gone sarging in an eternity but the glance I got of this set to see that it was more than worth it. T-Bone was suspicous of whether or not the set had seen us leaving and thinking that we'd look like creeps. so, I assured him that I'd do the talking. We ordered coffee with the intent that he'd bring me mine after I opened the set. My mind was racing at the fact that I was breaking my formal sarging fast so an opener was hard to come up with. But, I recalled the 3 second rule and decided approaching with confidence was more important than knowing my entire game plan. Upon reaching the set I realized just how much was up for grabs. This was the hottest 2 set I'd ever opened. They were at least 9.5s or possibly 10s, but in totally different ways. One had short, blonde hair which gave her a "girl next door" look while the other had nose and lip piercings. They took the opener really well and I FTCed strongly enough to sit down and use body rocking. When T-Bone arrived he had even less confidence than I had, or perhaps his was just more blatant. He sat down but was unable to contribute anything to the conversation. I attempted a cold read and negged the target (calling the girl next door "too nice" was too easy to pass up). All at once, I ran completely out of material. My mind drew a total blank and an akward silence fell over all 4 of us. I tried something desperate and stood up telling T-Bone that we had to go. Rather than give me anything to work with and stay in the set got up and prepared to leave. I tried to summon up something to say but instead had to just walk away looking like a complete AFC. I've been away from in-field game for a couple of months so I've blamed the failure on that but I can tell that situations like this will occur where I can't come up with anything. I'm wondering what other puas do when backed into a corner and how I can get back into pua mode semi- painlessly. Opinions? |

I'm not sure, but try building up an end gambit. Something to do with noticing something nice, pretty, or beautiful that left you speechless. With that said then maybe go to the NEVER fails spell gambit maybe that one is already there as it is defaulted into every pua's game? I'm fairly new, but I think that's what I would have tried. Or put it off on your friend as 'HELLO? cat got your tongue or something?' This effort is two fold. 1. To give your friend the floor focusing the girls attention on him while 2. Stalling so you can have mor time to come up with something. Just a suggestion. You could have also worked out a basic plan 1. on your way in and 2. before you approached. Again. I'm no expert. Just suggesting. |
