So the other day I was on youtube (I think) and watch someone turn a small paper napkin into a rose. I practice a few time and was surprised at how easy it was. This Saturday I decided to integrate it into an easy routine to demonstrate some DHV. Background: I’m at the bar, sitting at a round table with a 5 set.(3 really good friends that are girls, will call them GF1,GF2,GF3, a target and one dude) My target is just an HB5. (Note: I have no attraction to the GFs, but they build my confidence and are fun to hang out with) So here the conversation I started. Me:(talking to one of my friends at the table) So I’m disappointed in you. GF1: Me? Why? Me: You missed my b-day party and never got me a gift. For that you are now on my naughty list. GF1: That’s not fair. I had a family thing to do. And plus I didn’t know what you would want. Me: that’s ridicules. You’ve know me for how many years now? And you don’t know what I like? That’s it, were over. (at this point I casually get up and circle around to stand next to the target. While grabbing a napkin from the table I shoot a quick smiling at the target I begin to make a rose.) GF2:I at least got him some drinks Me: I know that, was sad too though. All you know about me is that I drink. tisk... tisk GF3:Well at least I got you movie tickets!! Me: that just because you want me to take you on a date. For the last time GF3... no mean no. (table laughs) The Target: (She notice the rose I was making) Wow, that’s so cool.... Me (I cut her off) I whisper to her, I’m tying to prove that it doesn’t matter what you give someone its the thought that counts. Target: (smiles) Me: (talking to the target)Do you have any lotion. (girls always have some kind of nice smelling lotions.) Target: (hands me the lotion and I place a little bit in the top of the rose) me: mmmm... smells delicious. You should put some on for later. (Now just when I was about to give the paper rose to my target, I notice a HB8 sitting at the table next to me) Me:( To the group) You guys should know by now that it doesn’t matter what you give someone for a gift, its the thought that counts(I take this opportunity to walk over to the new HB8,while the target is watching and give her the flower) Me: (to the HB8) Hello, (I smile) To prove a point to my friends over here I wanted to provide you with this small gift. (I hand her the flower.) HB8: (blushes a little) What point are you trying to prove? Me: That people buy expensive gifts to get girls attention, yet a simple napkin can mean way more. HB8(Blushes and smells the flower) Thank you! Me: See if I had bought you a drink, I would just another guy in the bar. Now, even though I may never see you again, you’ll remember the guy who made you smile last Saturday. Me: ( I asked the HB8 for her hand, she easily placed it into mine)Well I need to get back to my table, thanks for your help… (paused for her name, she gives it to me) Thank you HB8 for you assistance. I bid you goodnight. (Then walked back to my table.) Conclusion: I ended up number closing the target. The HB8 left early before I got a chance to talk to her again. Although I did get a smile and look as she walked out the door. Of course I thought she was just stepping outside for a min. Not leaving for the night. O well, im learn. |

Sounds like you had it going on that night, and I'd advise you to stop back at that place for the next few weeks... I'd almost be that the one who got the rose will be back. And if she shows, you're in like flynn! |

I really hope you didn't say "I bid you good night" and said "have a good night" or something similar instead. If you said "I bid you good night" you pretty much just ruined everything you did before that by making her think you were trying to sound more well read, or something, than you are. Besides that, well done. |
