Subject: Peacocking Gear, Time Constraint, Cat String Theory, Display Lower Value (DLV) Author: First Base AFC Place: Heights Ultra Lounge – San Francisco, CA Time: Saturday, 11/29/2008; around 2230. Looks matter. I totally wanted to stand out in the crowd, get myself in the radar as soon as possible. In order to do this I needed to make it so I don’t look like everyone else. The dance skills are already there. But I’m not dancing the whole time, only most of the time. This is what my wardrobe consists of: • A colorful Don Ed Hardy shirt. • Double spike bracelets on my left wrist. • A black sweat band with metal plate engraved with a musical note. • A studed wrist band. • Two necklaces and a spike choker. How can I not be noticed? Who the hell does that at a party? I looked bizarre, as if I got lost looking for the Power Exchange (a swingers' club in San Francisco). When struttin’ my stuff on the dancefloor I’ve got looks in no time. One of the looks was coming from an Asian7. I’ve chosen my target. I knew she wanted to dance. As she approached closer to me on the dancefloor I gave her hand signals to invite her to come dance with me. In no time we were already bumpin’ and grinding. I was looking for IOIs. I held hands with her and did the hand squeezed thing. She squeezed back. So far so good. Other girls started trying to dance with us. I even had a random girl pulled me from my target to take pictures together. I’m not sure if this was a good thing. It can be a DHV but at the same time I was thinking damn leave us alone. I’m trying to sarge this target. Well what do you think? Now let’s get to the best part of the field report – the part where I screwed up: Time Constraint: We were dancing for a very long time. She feared that she was going to be stuck with me for the rest of the night. I sensed it when she asked me if I should go check up on my cousin and his girlfriend. I was so in a mission to get a kiss-close that my mind got clouded and totally screwed up my judgment. That’s emotions fucking shit up for you. I don’t even know what made me think I can get a kiss-close when I didn’t even talk to her. I didn’t even take the time to know her, what she’s about, or anything. Not even a neg was executed. All we did was dance. Cat-String Theory: She knew she had my nuts at her grasp. Since she knew she had me she wasn’t trippin’ off of me anymore. I’ve failed to spice up the excitement of the chase. Therefore she left. Of course using the “I need to check up on my friend” excuse. After we parted I went to the bar to get a drink of water. When I got back to the dancefloor she was dancing with a different guy. Display Lower Value (DLV): The venue wasn’t that big. It fits only like around six or seven hundred in capacity. It wasn’t even full. There was probably only a three hundred headcount. More or less. With that being said everyone knew what just happened. According to society I’ve been shut down and made me look like a chump. Girls don’t want guys that other girls don’t want. They want guys that all the other girls want. I’m not trippin’ that I’ve lost the girl. However this little fiasco totally fucked up the rest of my evening as far as potential sarging with other women. It’s a good thing I love to dance, even if it means by myself. Readers, I hope you pick something up from my experience last Saturday evening. I certainly did. I wouldn’t have it any other way either. My cousin thought of my target as a “fucked up bitch” but like I told him. That’s the game for you. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.
