Ok guy's tonight was awesome. Karl and I went out in eugene and hit more sets than either of us ever have. We started with day game. Karl managed to open a two set in the food court at the mall, and then we hit the street. We took turns opening, Karl having much more confidence than I, and did fairly well, opened, embarrassed ourselves, all the good shit that happens when practicing. Karl managed to open an HB 8/9 at starbucks and had a successful conversation, she was totally into it, I tried to join but may as well have not existed. During the day I'd say we opened about 3 or 4 sets. Then night came, we went out on a mission to open moving sets on the street. We tried and failed many times. I tried to open a three set with the good old "Whats up?" and got a harsh "Nothing" reply. We then ran into some guys who were drunk, and we started chatting with them. Suddenly this chick Karl knew showed up and invited us to this party, that wasn't actually going on, but we met some pretty cool people. I think all in all, though most were failed attempts, we did well. We learned a lot, for one we killed our conversation to open, killing our energy at the same time. I needed to make comments when I get rejected like that, and find some better openers. In the end I feel it was a good night. |

Good work graffiti, getting out there and opening as many sets as possible will improve your game no end. Moving sets can be tricky at first,if you need some pointers on it I wrote a topic 'Approaching moving sets' . You should find some stuff there to give you that little boost. |
