First, if anyone saw my previous topic FR "Too many negs?" I apologize for neglecting to include "FR" in the Topic Title. So last night was Halloween, so a buddy and I hit up a costume party. For my costume, I dress up with a home made Hamburglar outfit (awesome right?). So we get to the party and I start opening up sets here and there, then suddenly out of the corner of my eye, I see a HB9 with a sexy version of my costume! So I go on to approach and it turns out it was a two set (the target and a guy) I open the set very easily because of the costume coincidence. I go on with conversation and eventually learn that the two had come together and how they new the people throwing the party etc. I also learn that the guy she was with gay and used the best friends test. Furthermore, I find out that she didn't have a boyfriend. So I think to myself that I could potentially get an easy number close. Anyways, the conversation starts to slow down and I try to isolate her by trying to get her to go with me to get a drink but they both look at each other and decline and I start noticing slight IOD's. So after that I just ejected. I'm still pretty new to the game, so I'm just happy that I was able to open, but it would have been awesome if I would have been able to have something to show for it. |

you were unsuccessful at building DHV or Attraction or Comfort, somewhere you didn't do enough. And btw, don't eject, I know how you feel, I have the same problem of ejecting too early. By your post I could tell you were sorta AFC trying to find random things to keep the conversation going. Don't be intimadated by the quietness, and btw, you could also use the mytery method and neg the girl while mainly focus on the guy. When she looked over to the guy, she might be asking for his approval and I don't think the guy sent her the right signal. Anyways, next time try to do the bold move, like telling her she is cute, kino escalation and teasing her while making friends with the leader or obstacle. |

Telling a pretty girl that she is pretty is seldom a good move on a sarge.. as a PUA, you want to be different from the common man, the AFC... if you compliment, compliment her about less obvious or even downright strange things.. like her energy, or the way her bracelet matches your eyes ("totally awesome!")  And remember to try to hold back on the IOIs until you've got some from her first... otherwise you will easily come across as too interested. |

As I think back, I remember trying to be conscious of not giving her IOI's until she gave some to me, but I think that one of my sticking points is that I do not recognize when a girl gives me IOI's. On that note, I'm wondering if there is a good way to start kino escalation without being 100% sure about receiving IOI's from the target. |
