So, basically, I broke away from my wingman for long enough to actually have some confidence in me. I was sitting at the bar, drinking a beer, when two girls approached. Both gorgeous. One was drunk as hell, and she went off to the bathroom. I turned to the other and said, "wow, she looks pretty well off. You guys celebrating?" She replies with, "yeah, we just took finals." "Cool, what're you taking?" "Physical therapy." "That seems like a pretty demanding field." "Oh it is, but It's something I've always wanted to do." "That's good for you, then. Do you have any sort of internship?" "Right now I'm working as a massage therapist" There it was, I had my opening. "I haven't had a good massage in quite some time." At this point she puts her hand on my leg. "So, I'm trying to figure out what to drink, any ideas" I racked my brain, and spouted' "pineapple upside down cake." Her friend returned from the bathroom, effectively killing my game, as to how inebriated she was. She looked at me and said, "thanks for the suggestion. That's an awesome drink." "It was my pleasure. Are you on FB?" "Yeah, here" She took my phone and added herself from my page. I realize now that I should've asked for a number instead of her FB. And the hand on the leg seemed like a pretty good indication that she wanted something more. So, for a first approach, it definitely boosted my confidence, but I didn't achieve my goal of a phone number. Next time should be better. |

Great job man. Some would classify this as an "indirect" approach; I would classify it as "normal & non-needy." The drunk girl blew things out but with the next girls let them know something about yourself before you take their #s. Fabulous first approach. |

I can see now that she was trying to get some information out of me. Next time, I won't make that mistake if an approach goes well. Thanks. Anymore advice, anyone? |

You did not open. They opened you. You are probably good looking and a natural, HBs like touching them and they talk to them, I had such classmates... |
