Here is a recap of my recent sarge, timing of escalation critical:
Taking the subway/train to work every day for the past week. Keep seeing the same HB10 for the first 3 days. Made a move on the 4th.
ME: This is so weird, I feel like i've been having deja-vu all week. Do I know you?
HB: *Laughs* Yea...it felt like you were trying to talk to me the last few days, why didn't you
ME: Oh, me? I dont know, why didnt you talk to me first?
HB: So you take this train to work everyday, where do you work?
ME: Me? I'm in finance, I'm a banker for X Company (irrelevant). What about you?
HB: I work at X location

ME: Where did you go to school?
HB: Baruch
ME: Me too! Thats awesome, what year did you graduate?
HB: Like two years ago
ME: AW, thats too bad, youre way too old for me then
HB: WHy? WHen did you graduate?
ME: Oh, last may?
HB: What? Oh wow, you are so young
ME: Thats why I said youre too old. Anyways, this is my stop, hopefully we'll see each other again
HB: Okay, bye.
Some time passes during the fourth day. In the middle, I take a break from work, google her work place, buy a small box of godiva chocolates and a card from papayrus that reads: "LIFE is TOO Short". Inside, I write: HB, I hope this letter finds its way to you. I have to admit, I didnt have much to work with (first name, and x location), but if it does, maybe I can take you out to dinner sometimes? I know the perfect place. -My cell phone number. Send a bike messenger to hand deliver card and chocolates to her work place.
Ever since, I have been text gaming her:
HB: I got your gift, that was so sweet, thank you!
ME: HB?...from the train right?
HB: Yea, its me
(No reply for 3 hours)
ME: Good, I found you, I was afraid some random stranger would be eating my chocolates by now. Sorry for the late reply, I was in a meeting all day, I have some time to catch up now.
HB: Its okay, I was pretty busy myself
ME: Cool, I just got off, anyways, did you eat?
HB: I did, Im with friends, about to head home I think.
ME: Alright, Ill bother you next time:)
Day 5, next morning (did not see her on the train)
ME: Its going to be an ugly day...
HB: Definitely, but at least the weekend looks like itll be okay lol
(3 hours later)
ME: Hey HB, hows work? did you take lunch yet?
HB: Im taking it now actually...I dont even have time for coffee?
ME: Aww its too bad you work in a prison..Its okay, I know a guy, want it delivered to you?
HB: Lol no! its fine
ME: Okaay then, if you say so. Hey listen, do you think you can make some time for me after work today?
I just want get some things off my chest and then we should be okay
HB: Whoa, that doesnt sound too good lol
ME: WHat? Its nothing serious, Im not asking you to marry me, I just dont like taking no for an answer (me trying to play alpha).
HB: Youre scaring me, your statement sounded kind of stalker-ish lol
ME: Lol did i? Wow, that was definitely not what I wanted...lets be friends (trying desperately to recover)
HB: Okay
ME: Why would I stalk you O.o/ lol
HB: I have a reputation of meeting the craziest guys, im convinced im a psycho magnet
ME: I was just going to ask you our for coffee, as friends now, lol
HB: Ive heard that line so many times and it has never led to anything good. Im sorry, I didnt mean to offend you, I just jumped the gun. If it makes you feel any better I only said it because I barely know you lol
ME: Its fine, I would be suspicious too. Its just taken alot of courage out of me to just talk with you. Are we cool?
HB: Yea lol we're cool.
(next morning)
HB: Im running super late today, actually, Im gonna get a ride with my mother. Dont wait for me in the train station! I dont want you to be late lol
Me: Lol Im at work already, but thanks?....
HB: Okay good.
(4 hours pass)
Me: Hey busy bee, hows your friday going? Weather seems to finally be getting better...
HB: Yea it looks gorgeous out. My day sucks so far, Im in a terrible mood lol. What about you?
Me: Dude...its a friday, how the hell could you be upset? Im dying to leave. I have two hours left
HB: Everyone seems to be slightly dumber today, its so frustrating lol. Two hours? lucky you. Well actually I only have three hours to go
Me: Well, thats becasuse youre dealing with high school dropouts, people I work with actually have a college degree, like you

ME: Hey HB, Im going to Japan in two weeks, I have a saks gift card thats going to expire. I wont be here to use it, if you want it, its yours/
HB: Aw youre so nice, but I wouldnt want to take it from you, Id rather buy it from you
ME: Women please, its just $25 dollars, not exactly rewarding considering I just dropped 2K on suits there.
HB: Lol nice, okay thanks. When are you leaving for Japan?
ME: My flight is scheduled for the X date, caint wait!! want a souvenioer?
HB: Youre so nice lol. but no thnak you

ME: I AM FREE. Hell yeas, ciao baby. Have a nice weekend.
HB: Lol thanks, you too.

Okay, this is where I started to go NC. ALot happend this week. ANy who bothered to read my shit, 1.) Thank you very much; 2.) I need advice.
I know I should have be CF-ing when she accused me of being stalkerish, maybe something like, "I just wanted to ask you for coffee, if you get "stalker-vibes" from that, maybe youre not as bright as I thought"...but i panicked and started responding like an average chump. I got desperate so friendzoned myself to avoid further crash and burn. Theres definitely some whiplash from my cb-ing because she took the car with her mother the next (which she never does b/c I saw her 4 days straight on the same day) so I think she wanted to avoid me. I think I did an okay job of saving myself and actually made some openings for myself. But I really need to start getting her mindset back on me being alpha again. This is my currently strategy and if you guys could provide feedback on it. Thatd be great:
Its currently a friday. I plan on NC until monday, at which point I hope she feels comfortable around me to take the train again. I really like a date with this girl, I know I can make sparks fly if I can just land one day. What should I do. Thus far, If I bump into her, I will open with:
ME: Calling me a stalker?...that was pretty mean of you
HB: n/a (something along the lines of an apology)
ME: Its okay, youre not that hot for me to stalk anyways
HB: n/a (probably a shit test or neg on me for saying that)
ME: oh btw, here's the card. (as she is grabbing it, I pull back)...On one condition,
HB: What?
ME: I'm there when you use it. I want to see what kind of tastes you have to see if youre worth my time and investment.
At this point, things could proceed in 2 ways: 1. She takes my gift card, and plans a date and let me know whne and where. 2. She decides to decline my card. If she does this, what can I do to recover or how can I have another opportunity for a date.
