I went out this evening reluctantly because I haven't been feeling very well most of the week. I am fighting the same cold that I think just about everyone here is. I've had a sore through and coughing spells for a week now. I just couldn't live with myself sitting around the house. So I jacked up the music, put on my rings, and hit the road!
I arrived downtown around 10:30p. I walked into the venue and I shook hands with the bouncers, door guy, DJ, singer, etc. that I know who work there as always. Then I go open a mixed set 2 girls and 1 guy. I used the Drug Dealer opener and just completely struck out, no one was paying attention to me.
So I go up to the roof to smoke, and I see another set. This time 3 girls. There were two 6's and one 7.5 and I try a myspace opinion opener that I use and the 6's hook but the 7.5 is ignoring me. I try to stack with my blindfold opener but the 7.5 pulls the other two away so they can do something else. SHIT!!!
At this point I wasn't feeling good about the night. I was starting to get some of those AA feelings back in my gut. I ordered a beer and listened to some music, sitting alone, how pathetic right! So I am texting Kino back and forth, and finally I grow some balls. I go back to the roof to smoke and pull myself together. I'm J- F--king Smooth I own this flipping town, and its a priveledge for these women to have me here dang it. So, I put the smile on my face and go back downstairs.
I see it, a seated two set a HB8 with short blonde hair, and a HB5 Burnette. I do the drug dealer opener and they both hook. So I then stack with the myspace opinion opener that I love so much. The HB8 looks at my RedBull and says, "What are you drinking?" I show her the label, and she says, "Are you not trying to get drunk?" I say, "No, I have to drive tonight!" She then offers to by me a shot. I pull up a seat. I tell her, "I'm game!" She says, "What do you want?" I say, "Whatever you're buying." So she goes to bus me a Yeager shot. I like this girls taste. I am working on the HB5 while she's gone standing in line, making friends, fluff talk yata yata. Then she gets back and we take our shots. I thank her for the shot and start kino'ing her by touching her back. She is giving me great eye contact, and lots of smiles.
Then when she starts to talk again I get a hand on my thigh. As I take her hand away she squeezes it, and I set it back on her lap. I say, "I'm going to need more shots before you do that again."
Laughes. I say to her, "You're just trying to get into my pants aren't you?" She says, "No, but you are sexy!" 
Can't argue with her there. So I nudge her with my elbow being playful saying, "Get lost, I'm not that easy." She tells me what she does for a living, working in an accountant office. I do a bait-hook-release with, "OMG, I can't believe you're an accountant, in my family we have a bunch of accountants and....You're back to square one with me." Then I turn my legs away, and my shoulder to her. She kino pings me by hitting me on the arm, and says, "You're funny!" Then proceeds to qualify herself saying how she really wants to get into the music biz because she has a 4 yr music degree. In my head I'm thinking finally it's on.I say to her, "You're going to have to explain to me why I am attracted to you. Did you put something in my shot?" She playfully hits me and says, "No" So I say, "Well don't get a big head on me or anything but you are cute. With that being said beauty is common, but you have some rare qualities. There are 3 rare qualities those are, positive outlook on life....good energy...and great personality. You 2 out of the 3 its a good start." She laughs more.
hits me in the arm, and I elbow her back like a little sister or something.We keep talking and I am constantly trying to keep her friends interest so she doesn't get bored. I can't help but to stare at her though. I'm giving her eye contact back as we're talking, and periodically looking away, and letting her talk in my ear. I find out she lives like a mile and a half from my apartment, and she is certainly single.
She talks to her friend for a few, and looks at me to say we're going to leave soon. I say, "I'm about out of here too, it's almost 2am." So I say, "How can we continue this conversation?" I get her #. Then I notice she's traingle gazing me.
So I pull out the Mystery Kiss Gambit, "Do you want to kiss me?" I whisper in her ear. She looks at me dead on, and say, "YES!" I pull her in lock lips, get some nice sweet tongue, as I touch her face, and pull away. So she says, "Are you tired?" I say, "Hell no, I'm going to get something to eat after here...." We agree to meet near our apartments at Steak and Shake. So I walk with her and her friend out of the venue. We go our seperate ways to our cars. I go home for a few seconds to freshen up and then head over to the steak and shake. She's already there drinking coffee. She looks tired from the night. We continue to do typical comfort talk, where did you grow up, what about your job, college, getting drunk stories, etc. I am sitting across from her and I'm holding her hand. I realize sitting across from her sucks for kino, so I sit next to her in the booth. I get my arm around her for a bit. Then I'll turn away some from time to time, then she'd kino ping me during conversation, like hitting my arm when I said something funny. Then I'd give her some IOIs back again. We're the only two people in the place. She says, "I'm really tired, and I should go home." I say to her, "Same here, I've been up almost 24 hours!" I walk her to her car. As we reach her car door she turns to hug me, and we kiss again. She says, "Do you want to follow me?" I say, "Not tonight, I'm tired and should go home." She agrees. So we set a date for Sunday to hang out at her place.
I drive to my apartment, and as I'm putting the key in the lock I get a text message from her. "Sleep Tight, Call me Sunday or I'll call you!" I send her back, "Good night, talk to you sunday." It's now 5am.
*Opened only a few sets for the night, not my better work.
*# Close, Kiss Closed, setup Instant Date, turned down sex to DHV myself, and setup a Time Bridge for later. I have about 4 hours built with my target.
*Didn't do a good job ignoring her up front as I should have.
