Hey everyone, I'd like to share an experience I've made, so here's the story: On my commute to uni, I saw a pretty girl on the train, but somehow didn't manage to approach. I got angry at myself, since that's not a problem, usually. I saw her again, two weeks later - but I was ill that day (still recovering today); I had lost my voice the weekend before and not feeling really well in general. I didn't want to feel bad for not approaching again, so I did - the best way I could. I took out my phone, wrote a little something ('hey, blablabla, I lost my voice but I still wanted to approach you, you're stunning! blabla do you have a name?') and handed it to her. She (Fiona) smiled and handed it back to me, said thanks and some sort of conversation started... Soon after, I thought 'screw it' and started using my voice, despite the pain. Unfortunately, she had to finish an essay on her way, but she reentered the conversation whenever she could (a friend of mine had gotten on the train a few minutes later). I didn't number-close, since I want to feel well/healthy and I'd like to show my best side when doing so. I'm quite sure I'll meet her again, so there'll be time for that. The point of the story is, don't ever let anything hold you back from approaching, not even temporarily lacking a voice. Go for it, you might not see this chick again as easily as I did. Seize the opportunity! |
