Hey guys, Just wondering if you could help give me advice - I'd met a girl a week or so ago at a bar here in Nottingham where I teased her at the bar for buying champagne (opener was "Happy Birthday") it wasn't her Birthday obviously but we got talking. I saw her on the dancefloor a couple of times but didn't close her that night, didn't even attempt to which I think showed indifference. I saw her on Saturday night in another club, stopped some guy who'd been giving her and her friends grief and kissed / number closed her that night - since then I've text her a little and spoke on FB too just to build some initial comfort before closing for a date (don't like over texting etc, think much better to meet). Here's the transcript - ignore the girl for now, it's for general advice on building initial comfort - not set on this one girl: Me Hey, you have a good one last night? 6:20pm Her hey you, yeh was a good laugh, quite drunk though ha did you? 6:21pm Me ha yeah, was good - dont really know that much about NFL but was decent You watch the whole thing? 6:21pm Her same ha i think i left about half 3 6:22pm Me better innings than me, think i only lasted until about 12 6:23pm Her time flies when you are drunk i think 6:23pm Me It does, suprised you were drinking! not sober again then eh 6:24pm Her haha that was a one off been drunk a little too often in the last week so i thought have a night off 6:24pm Me have a night off and go Ocean haha Been up to anything exciting today? 6:24pm Her it was my friends birthday lol didn't really want to go but had too no been in bed most of the day knackered you? 6:25pm Me Alright for some! Had an early start at work today, only just managed to get some time for some food at vodka revs which has made me a tired man 6:26pm Her ahh bless yaa shouldn't go out on a school night 6:27pm Me haha I do it far too often, usually I can call one of my assistant managers and have them run the office for the day Quick question, do you work at Ralph Lauren? 6:28pm Her do it yourself lazy! yeh, every holiday from uni i do 6:29pm Me class lady *classy I went through a stage where I think every piece of clothing i owned was polo 6:30pm Her hahaa obsessed bit like that now though to be fair ha 6:31pm Me So what exciting things does a classy ralph lauren obsessed girl like you do on a Monday night? 6:32pm Her sleep hahaha i have so much work to do and because today was ruled out after yesterdays behavior i'll have to do it all tomorrow 6:33pm Me and you called me lazy! 6:33pm Her ha 6:33pm Me What course you doing? 6:34pm Her criminology 6:35pm Me Do you get to do any of that cool CSI stuff? that would be pretty cool... 6:36pm Her haha everyone says that, but that's more forensic science... I do a bit of it in 3rd year if i choose that module 6:37pm Me You should definitely choose that module 6:37pm Her it depends on whether it helps with my future job etc 6:37pm Me I had a friend who did the course to get into being a police officer She's just gone through the final interviews for it 6:38pm Her ahh that's good! there's quite a few options with it which is good 6:39pm Me What do you want to go into? 6:39pm Her the probation service 6:42pm Me ah cool You free this weekend still? We should definitely go for a drink 6:47pm Her yeh i think so, my housemates friends are here who i also know from home and not sure what time they are leaving but i shall let you know 6:48pm Me No pressure, let me know if you're around and if I'm free I'll book a table somewhere that does good food, maybe even challenge you to a game of pool haha McDonalds or Burger King? 7:02pm Her mcdonalds 7:03pm Me You're like the dream woman haha 7:03pm Her hahaa 7:11pm Me this has been emotional but heading off speak to you later xx 7:11pm Her see yaaa x Any advice would be cool - thanks guys |
