One key rule I always followed when meeting a woman for the first time was never talk about work. Never. Ever. Don't do it. Not talking about work will separate you from 80% of the guys she meets. Also, not letting her ask you about it will create fun flirtation between the two of you.

Here are the key phrases I used:

Her: "So, what do you do?"
Me: "Come on, you can do better than that."
Her: "Huh?"
Me: "Don't give up so easily. Let's have a good conversation."

Say it with a smile. Get her laughing. Don't answer the work question. Then later when she pries again:

Her: "Really, tell me what you do."
Me: "I send e-mails, I make phone calls and occasionally I go places."

I described my office job this way all the time. Be vague and fun.

Another thing you can say after 15+ minutes of good conversation:

Me: "Isn't it great when you can meet someone and not talk about work?"

She'll agree and then you're in. You're the different guy.

Don't talk about work until you're at least on the first date. But don't get into it then, just let her know basically what you do. Don't start telling stories unless you've got something hilarious to share. And don't get into that part of her life. If the girl isn't particularly fond of her job or her current position in life, she'll love you even more because it's not important to you.

All this stuff might as well be spun the exact opposite way around, depending on the wording used by the pua.

for instance: talk about your job and it will rub off on her how motivated and inspired you are, this will raise her curiosity . . . even if she has a boring job, by asking about it you will show that you are genuinely interested in her as a person and dont ditch her just because her job is boring, this will give her positive expectations about you...
