Ok. So I noticed a couple of my friends were standing there talking to a couple cute girls. So I thought I'd go in and do some practice on these girls. I was trying to be alpha, and I went up to my 2 friends and squeezed in between them to get in the conversation. Then my friend Baily gives me a big jug to welcome me into the conversation. And he starts talking again. I just couldn't lead a conversation, and introduce myself to these 2 girls. Baily was talking most of the time. How would you guys handle this? |

First of all, don't try to be alpha.. It shows that your trying too hard. Alpha comes in naturally, so adapt it in nature. Second, you have stated that "Then my friend Baily gives me a big jug to welcome me into the conversation. And he starts talking again." You could've opened up with a suggestion opener, Million dollar question ("if you had a million dollar what would you do?"), and so many more. Well to be quite honest, its your friend whose doing all the work here, your job is to assist. Get their attention, work as a team (wing), DHV (must do!), and get their numbers when you are ready to close. Third, when you jump into two sets when your friends are sarging, show that your a fun person to be around with. I'll go something like, "Hey guys, wanna bail this place, there's not much fun here to..... (suddenly look at the girls as if I'm suprised)Oh wait, hey.. I'm Brown-Eyed, I want names, and shots.. your buying :p!!! (in a teasing way that is) " Finally, Don't ever embarass your friends. Wing them and get some cooperation.. All the best, cheers.. |
