So tonight I headed out to Starbucks (the coffee sucks but there is a HB8 that works there, we've talked before) so i walk in and order and while she's making the drink I tell her that she looks terrible. She laughs about it and says, "I'm glad there's somebody who isn't afraid to sugar coat things." (her hair looked a little wind swept). Then out of nowhere her co-worker butts into our conversation and says, "Dude, why do you got to say stuff like that to a girl?" My response to this was, "What's the matter? I would expect you guys to do that to me when I look bad." He said "Call me old fashion but I just don't talk that way to girls". At this point the pua in me wanted to shut him down so I can go back to doing what I do best; so I said, "Why? Just because they're girls. That doesn't mean that we should lie to them. Honest people like me are few and far between." And get this, after I said that the girl started backing me up and saying stuff like, "Clam down, I admire someone who isn't afraid to speak his mind and treat me like one of the guys." So we go back to talking and the co-worker didn't bother us. Moral of the story, always keep frame. You never know when you will have to support it. |
