| Post subject: | A night out in Toronto |
Went out with an AFC friend to a club in Toronto. We're both relatively decent looking guys but are on the shorter side, I'm about 5'8 and he's 5'4. Guy to girl ratio was probably 2-1. Objective for the night was to help my friend get over shyness and general AA and for him to put some of the information I shared with him into practice. After getting into the club, we grabbed a quick drink and I told him to start out by approaching the first girl he finds attractive. Since most of the girls were dancing, I told him that he could try the, "You're not a very good dancer" and shrug, to open. After several minutes of encouragement, he went up to a girl on the dance floor, told her that she couldn't dance. She responded with "That's a rude thing to say" and he bolted not knowing what to say. He seemed disappointed but I told him that he has to let his personality take over and when he receives a response like that to make sure that he has an answer. He wanted to have a couple of drinks to get loose so we just chilled for a bit. He approached three more girls throughout the night ... He had relative success with one girl (who was drunk), but didn't number close. He told another girl she wasn't a good dancer, and she blew him off. Overall, a great night for his first time with four approaches. I remember my first time where I struggled to make a single approach. My night was fine. I was mostly at the bar with an HB7.5 standing right beside me for a long time. There were obvious IOU's from her and she wasn't moving anywhere even though her friends were calling her, but I was more interested in encouraging my buddy. Made some small talk with her and that was all. Got a couple of compliments from girls about my outfit which was a black tie, white shirt, and greyish-black blazer ... Apparently I'm a brown JT. It's fun to help others get their game together. Reminds me a lot of friends pushing me in the past to get over my shyness. It's great to be a in a club and be calm and just be able to kick back and relax. |
