Ah yes, another field report. It seems like so long ago I was going out, and hating town/taka because all we would do would be dance with the same group of friends and stand around looking at all the HB's and being like 'god damn it, i wish they would talk to us'......but now....its like 'shit, those HB's need to earn the right to talk to us'
Last night started out pretty slow in Taka, went to Mesh, that was pretty average. Gruel and I stood by the bar talkin to the hot bartender who Gruel had been chatting up the week previously. We then went to R'totos where we hung out some more. Gruel decided he would try open a massive 8-set sitting down with his card trick and this went swimmingly. After this I opened a few random sets while i was getting drinks, doing the casual look over the shoulder ask opinion thing while i was waiting. This worked swimmingly. I actually cant remember how many sets i opened.
One set that does stand out in my mind is a tasty 2 set. A HB9 blonde and another HB-maybe-7. They were standing in the outside part of R'Totos and me and Gruel had been walking back and forth between mesh and there. I had seen them dancing inside and me and Gruel were commenting on how amazing the blonde looked in her little white dress very nice! *borat voice*. anyways, after entering R'Totos lookin like mean players seein as the bouncer knew us by now they were standing directly on the right.
We had noticed while walking up that they didnt look too amused, standing there together looking around, looking bored. Ahhhhhh, the classic 'so hot noone will talk to you' problem. sadly i never have this anyways, after walking in, i nudge Gruel and just walk straigt up to the set and open with the Drug Dealer *which btw has never failed me yet! im so amazed, but maybe its cus i do actually look like one:P* straight away her 'fuck im bored' stance changed to a massive grin! went something like this
Me: Hey listen, quick question, my mates waiting *points to Gruel few metres away* do i look like a drug dealer??
HB9: *up-down look...little too long to be considered 'normal' * what?? *massive smile* of course not! why do u ask?
Me: ah, its just this guy came up and was all like *puts hand on arm (kino-escalate)* yo man, u got some e??.
HB9: hahahahahahahaha,na thats crazy. oh well maybe....with those aviators.
Me: *perfect:P* *puts aviators on* how bout now? hey you girls want some drugs!
HB9: nawwww,i still dont think you look like one.
Me: ah, ur too kind. gotta get bak to my mate. catch u round.have a great night.
HB9: you too!
so yeah, thats pretty much what happened. another memorable set was at mesh .i had learnt while watching countless youtube videos recently that to walk into a club, you must have the most pearly white amazing smile on saying 'listen,im having fun...you should have fun with me' and also, to open the first set you see on the left......well i didnt have a left. i had a right:P so as soon as the massive swing door *held by Gruel thankfully* opened, i spotted a 3-set literally right by the door *for those who know mesh* walked straight up smiling. Opened with the Drug dealer opener *again* and went splendidly, they all seemed really keen and fun and happy to talk to me....
this is where my problem comes in.....i think im great at opening now...without sounding like an ass. but now,my problem is where to go from there. i can open no problem,but when it comes to DHV, or like...anyhting more than that,im lost! any help would b appreciated
(PS once again. From auckland,nz. so thats why the place names and stuff wont make sense
