I went to a small bar on saturday with two of my friends and it was kind of a spur of the moment thing considering we got there at 140 and the bar closes at 3. We get there and head to the bar to get a couple drinks. I immediately scan the bar for prospects, (Im always scanning haha). Behind me i see a hb8.5 and hb 7.5 sitting next to each other at a booth just laughing and enjoying their time. I told my friends that we should sit a booth near them and we grabbed a booth that was maybe 10-15 feet away. So as typical AFC's we started talking about the girls and how we thought they were really cute and which one of should approach them. I had just came off back to back days of opening at least a dozen or more sets each night, but for some reason the hb8.5 had me froze and i couldnt make the move. I knew all the right things i could open with. My first opener was going to be something like "I had to come over and make sure you guys werent going to beat up everyone in the bar" I made up this opener because they would saying things to this slutty girl who was trying to get on two guys. I dont think the girl could hear them though. And to top it off they both seemed tipsy which would of made the approach even more easy. Well after us talking about it for over 20 min. My friend who is taller (6'4") and a guy most girls find really attracting slides over to their booth and opens them up. I felt like such a loser for failing to open them on my own, i dont know what happened since i had been successful the previous nights. I was sober this night so maybe that had something to do with it. I head up to the bar tho to get a drink with one of my friends and i hear the hb 7.5 yell my name and use the come here motion with her finger. I told her "look at you being so demanding" and turned to the hb8.5 and said "is she always like this". I wanted the hb8.5 but i had to open the set with something and thats all i had at the moment. I followed that line with "are you guys better now, i thought there was going to be a WWE match happening in here tonight" I got a laugh out of both of them and then they started talking to my friend again and I felt like i wasnt involved in the convo anymore, so without saying a word i got up and went to the bar again to close my tab and told my friend that we should just go back to the booth we were originally at and not even make eye contact with them. As were heading back to the booth I hear the hb7 say "Why dont your friends come over and sit with us" and told my friend to ignore them and we just talked amongst ourselves playing the hard ass role. My friend already in convo with them replies "they dont want to come over cuz their mad at me for coming to talk to you guys and they didnt"...Ouch i was pretty fucking pissed he said that and made us look like losers. A couple minutes later all three of them goto smoke a cig and i see the hb7.5 turn around like she forgot something and heads to our table she says "Would u guys like to go out and smoke a cig with all of us, i dont smoke but u guys should come out there with us". So i told my friend we might as well. When we get out there i was already in a down mood from my friend making us look bad and the fact that i didnt approach them, but o well. I made small talk for like a couple minutes cuz the staff was kicking everyone due to the bar closing. As we were walking inside the hb7.5 goes "Are you alright I feel like your in a bad mood, i wish you would of came over and joined us" i just replied with "no im just really tired...it was my birthday last night...i think it got the best of me haha" she smiled and told me happy belated and just to make up for a little lost ground i told them "You guys seem like pretty cool people, it sucks i wasnt able to get to know u further" and they replied with some blah blah. and just cuz of the mood i was in i just said ill see u guys around maybe. So with this field report, i found that the uninterested/ignoring role can sometimes work in a situation like this. I am not sure why i froze and did not approach them when they actually seemed like cool ass girls once i talked to them a little. Maybe the problem was talking about them for 20 minutes and not doing the "3 second rule"? |
