I recently got out of a 2+ year relationship, no regrets whatsoever. Learned a lot, but lost a lot in terms of game. Let's say I would identify myself as AFC. I'm also an average looking guy, a little overweight but I've been told I carry it well. After breaking up I hit the gym and lost a few pounds which was a major confidence booster. At first I dabbled in the online game for a bit but it's much much harder than one would think. After spending a decent amount of time reading and trying to commit to memory a lot of PUA info, I felt confident enough to go sarging last night with my wing at a NYC bar. I made sure to look sharp and dress my best before going ofc. Mind you, I haven't been sarging in 2 years and could feel my AA creeping up as soon as we got there. I saw a 2 set of an HB7 and an HB8, relegated my wing to talk to HB7 and approached. They had backs turned facing the bar and we were behind. I opened but I got no ioi and barely a response. Both chicks pretty much cold shouldered us, and we ejected pronto. Whatever, I thought, they're bitches and I opened badly, better luck next time. I spot an HB5 in the corner with two guys talking to her and made her the next target. Better start off a little more humble. I let my wing back off and made my approach. I opened her by cutting right inbetween the two guys and introduced myself. For some reason the dudes were beta as fuck and immediately backed off giving me good isolation. We talked fluff for a minute before I saw a girl that I knew walk in. I thought it'd be a good time to introduce an ftc and said I'd be right back and went over to hug my friend. By the way my friend was someone I developed a severe oneitis for in school and basically friend-zoned the shit out of myself with. We ended up getting a table with her, my wing and her friend and I totally forgot about HB5. When I went to look for her she was nowhere to be found. Oh well. I began negging my friend and flirting with her in the lull. She's in an LTR with a guy 500 miles away so I went at it. We were all having a good time and after a while my wing and I went out for a smoke. Outside we see an HB6 approaching the bar, and her male friend standing there awaiting her. Now this guy was probably one of the worst AFC's I've ever seen. She walks up to him but keeps a 3-4 foot distance, smiles, and he kind of smiles and remains silent. She says "hey" and he kind of just mumbles it back and they have an awk moment then go inside. I knew this was a good opportunity for me to make a move so we go back inside and see that she's having trouble getting in because she forgot her ID at her place. (sounds dumb I know lol). I broke in, flashed a smile at the cute maitre'd and offered to let them come to our table as we were expecting them. I didn't really have to open, just introduce myself to her and her friend. The maitre'd relented and let her in. I lead the way and made introductions round our table. We actually didn't have anymore room to sit so I stood with HB6 nearby while her AFC friend stood and pretended to watch the game. I kind of felt bad for the guy. I stood by her side and spoke into her ear "so I kind of rescued you back there" and she laughed. We built rapport quickly; she was good at not letting the convo go stale and we had a lot in common. I got good IOIs through her eye contact and she laughed and smiled a lot. As soon as I got the tinniest hint that things might be getting a little dry I dropped an FTC and said I better get back to my friends, and proceeded to number-close her. She started talking to AFC and his guy friend and I almost forgot about her as I resumed flirting with my friend. We were all having a great time and I knew it was good for my social proof. We decided the food was too pricey and wanted to go somewhere to eat. At this point I went up to HB6 and escalated the kino, keeping my hand on her back and invited her to join us. She looked like she wanted to, but asked AFC and he said "no I think I'll stay here". I think she felt bad as well since she pretty much ignored him the whole time and didn't want to straight up ditch him. I moved in for a goodbye hug and we left. So that was pretty much the highlight of the night up until my car got towed and I lost a good deal of cash getting it back. Anyway I'm happy with how things went, despite only number closing one girl. It was a great confidence booster and I know my AA will only decrease from now on. I owe a good deal of thanks to this forum for helping me get my game back. Feels good man. |
