First night out

Post subject:  First night out
Earlier tonight, I met up with another poster on this forum, and we sarged for the first time together, being under 21, we hit up the mall and barnes and noble. And we talked technique and shop for a while. As it was sunday, we were forced to leave the mall early and went to a frozen yogurt joint on campus that is frequented by hot girls. While there we saw a pair of girls giving us IoI's and decided to go for it.. Although nervous, we had nothing to lose. This is how it happened:

We are sitting down, I make eye contact with the girl across the room. I think nothing of it, but send a quick glance over, we share another and a smile. I end up going to the bathroom, pissing and texting my wing. He is ready.

As I get back, we throw our yogurts away and walk to their table. We start out with an opinion opener "DO you girls prefer guys with 1 earing or 2? We get into a discussion, I pull up a chair and we start to talk. But, as soon as we started feeling good, the both of us were completely at a loss for where to go from there (Building rapport?) Etc.

So we ejected.

I know that I did not set a time constraint to start with, and luckily it didnt work against us. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hngggghhhhhh! Routine game is so hard to read. You should have been more direct as they were already looking at you before hand

It seems that natural rapport only comes with experience. Pretty good that you approached... but i reckon when it happens again you will be more prepared.. A lot of AFC's wouldn't even approach (myself included in the past).

Dont beat yourself up over it, just keep going with it. Technically if I were in that situation i would have made them work the conversation a bit more.. maybe said something like 'I think we have let you get away with telling us more about yourselves' (kind of qualifier) just as an example.

Your opener sounded good but maybe you should use something that has a lot of trail offs... Was explaining the hair color opener last night which opens so many paths up..

Like jax_pago said, don't beat yourself up about it.
Every set you approach and screw up on (in any part of the set) is simple a lesson for you to learn and apply for next time.
Keep practising approaches (but it seems you guys are'nt to bad at this) but one thing I've learnt is that when you run out of things to say it's because you're trying to think of things that the girl is interested in. The best thing you can do is simply start talking about things YOU want to talk about, things that YOU are interested in (Thanks SimplePickup). It makes the conversation much more comfortable as you're going to be comfortable talking about things you like and in turn they will feel comfortable with you.

Thank you for all of the feedback. Last night I sarged with the same dude, ran an opener on a 3 set. It worked well but he ended up not providing an opening for me to come in.. He said he got AA and worried about it. SO we sat down and discussed it.

ANother thing I need help with: I have read countless threads about transitioning from openers, but all of them seem to just be kind of meh. We are sarging tonight. And before we go out, I would love to have some tips on easy transitions for after opening a set.

Thanks for all the help, I hope with this site and the help of the community, I can flourish into a great PUA

Routine game can get you stuck. How many guys have the same lines as you etc. if you're somewhat honest and original they won't blow you out for lines they've already heard.
