Last night was very deflating, my last couple months have been very successful: i've f-closed 4 girls and number closed a bunch others. Last night I hit a wall. I drank too much and the bar I was at was just packed with guys. My one success was with a very cute hb8 who really wanted me. She kept trying to dance with me but her one girlfriend and guy friend kept shooting her the stink eye (i think the guy liked her) I tryed to be friendly with them and dance in a group but they could smell my bullshit and kept pulling the girl away. Finally, they gave in and I danced with her for a while, but I failed to escalate and it kind of stagnated. I probably could've number closed her, but I was really feeling deflated so I just let her go and took off. I guess not every night can go well, and I defidently learned to control my alcohol consumption. Anyway a few questions: 1.Building comfort while dancing: how do you do it? I got the feeling the girl I was with wanted me to talk to her while we were dancing but I was really lost for subject material. What do you talk about while dancing to build comfort? 2.IOI's while dancing. I've noticed this in many of my previous outings as well. If your dancing and there is a girl beside you with her back to you and she puts her hand behind her on her lower back, is this an IOI or an invitation to dance? I've seen this LOTS of times and am never sure what to make of it: it either means fuck off or come closer but I dont know how to read it. Similarly, if a girl is dancing beside you with her back to you and she brushes her hair all to the opposite side, revealing her entire face, is this an IOI? |

The dance floor is a trap and it can yield two results: 1.) girl is attracted to you and semi-slutty and will dance with you 2.) girl is either not attracted to you or not slutty and will not dance with you. Girls who are not sluts go on the dance floor for the self-esteem boost of guys trying to dance with them. They often enjoy rejecting them more than dancing with them fucked up as it is. Hence a bar is a much better place to meet girls than a dance floor. BUT...If you project your personality by: (1) tapping the girl on the shoulder and starting a conversation, (2) dancing in a funny/interactive kind of way, like swing dancing or something NOT GRINDING, (3) utilizing a pivot (a girl who is with you) to join in the interaction. If you do these things you may be able to overcome the shortcomings of a dance floor. The IOIs you are talking about are probably true IOIs, but IOI means she finds you attractive NOT that she wants to sluttily dance with you. Hope I helped a little |

I completely you agree with you there. I only dance when I drink too much, and its always in a rediculous fashion. Your point about girls dancing just to reject guys seems spot on to me I was having a similar thought the other night. |
