Hi, this is kinda a bit of a field report and a bit of my background but any comments would be much appreciated! Well I'm off traveling soon and I have been going to the surrounding towns (on my own as my mates aren't up for it) to try and get my confidence up as I'm going on my own. I haven't been drinking while out so I could see what the drunks are like etc..(what an eye opener!!) Anyway, I was forcing myself to say 'Hi' to people around me and when I felt my social value was diminishing I moved on to a different venue. I got to one club and was kinda dancing and bopping away and 4 hot girls started dancing around me but me lacking in confidence thought they were taking the p""". I had a little laugh with one of them then as soon as I tried to go 'kino' she was off. Then I went back to before. I guess the positives I can take are that I'm getting out there and doing it without the drink. But I find actually walking over to a girl or group is tough (especially with the music). A little about me: I'm shy, lack confidence, think things through too much and never really reach my potential in things as a result. I have been with number of attractive women (but its them who initiate the conversation). I've been reading up on pick up for a while and I've tried some techniques on some female friends (obviously without them knowing) and completely changed their view on me! I guess it come to point now where I'm gonna really try to make this work. Any advice would be great I think its the 'AA' which is holding me back big time but anyway. Thank for reading by the way. |
