Post subject:  My first sarge

So yep, first time posting on this forum, or any forum on PU for that matter, but I had to type up and keep record of my first sarge somewhere.

Im a senior at highschool and today I was off to a training session for DECA executives (It's a North American business organization for students). The day could have gone worse, but I wasn't really having too much fun, so that's when I decided to game.

About 200 - 300 students were spread around tables across the entire banquet hall. On my table I had four of my friends (who were also Deca Executives), and four other students who were all friends and came from a different school.

I was sitting across from my target, I'd say she's an HB7. She had three friends, an HB3, and HB5 (and a guy). I got to the point where I really wanted to open my first set (we actually spoke a bit, we were supposed to introduce ourselves to each other, and so I did), so when the speaker called break, I had 10 minutes to try and do my thing.

HB7, HB5, and HB3 all went to check out the sponsors, so I moved over, sat in HB7's spot, and started talking to her male friend. My friends were on that table and were aware that I was about to game (They caught me reading some openers on the way to the banquet hall).

I started talking to the guy and my female friend called me awkward. At that moment, the guy replied, "How's he awkward, atleast he's attempting to start a discussion."

I asked him if HB7 minded if I sat in her spot, he said no.

After about 3 minutes of talking, HB7 & her 2 friends interrupt by asking me why I took her spot. I told them that I deserved it, and so HB7 and HB3 shared a seat next to me while HB7 was the closest.

Everything was going as planned.

I turned my back to HB7 and continued talking to her friend about what he does for work and an experience I had with a scam call center.

During my conversation, my female friend noted that HB7 was checking me out (she told me this after the set left).

I turned around only to see HB7 babbling and ranting about her issues to HB3. I asked their male friend (who will now be referred to as M.F) how he puts up with her. I said it loud enough that HB7 went quiet and said "heyyy...."

I then let her continue talking to HB3 and then asked HB7, "Where the hell is your off switch?" (with a smile ofcourse)

I then started talking to HB3 and then I asked them how long they knew each other for and ran the Best Friends test and received great feedback.
I then ran the C's vs U's routing on them and we ended up looking at everyone's teeth -- including the speaker's -- so that HB7 can determine whether or not they had a U or C shaped smile.

I then went to isolate. I bought up "the cube" after a couple minutes of talking, and told the group that I have to do the cube to one person at a time, or otherwise I can only do it to one person.

At that point I asked HB7 if she'd like to move somewhere else so we can do this or if the group would lift their asses and move themselves. She opted for the first choice.

We went off and I ran the cube on her but was interrupted by the speaker half-way -- break was over.

I was returning to my seat, only to find that my friends cockblocked me to the point of no return. No damage control was going to help.

My friend said out loud (anyone in a 2 mile radius could hear this...), "Did you get her number?"

I was like "Want number?" and was swearing at him in my head.

Later, after we got a second break, I wanted to fulfill my promise of finishing the cube, but my female friend told me not to do it because I "can do better". And to get her off my back, I told her that I was "practicing".

I took HB7 and continued the cube -- during which, mind you, I heard my friends speaking to the rest of the set about what I was doing.

I returned to the table with HB7 and that's when I heard, "I told them what you were doing."

I felt destroyed, humiliated, suckered. I had no choice but to get the spot light off of me, so I did the cube for HB5.

Afterwards, I did the Eye Accessing Cues to HB5, HB7, and HB3 (while giving my friends some of the fun).

I wanted to go for a number close with HB7, I noticed that she kept checking me out ever since I initiated conversation. Her and HB3 started giggling after every time they turned to look my way.

I could no longer do anything except wait for the training to end and part ways.

Once the set left, my female friend told me about what she and my friends did. She told me that she mentioned to the set that I was "practicing" and they replied with "She has a boyfriend and she's practicing as well."

I was attracted to her personality, she was fun, and had a crazy amount of energy. Thanks to my friends, I may never see or hear from her again.

Guess I learned something, my friends are the worst wingmen.

I still have the actual DECA competitions to go, and am expecting 1 or 3 days of DECA meets.

There goes my first Field Report, if you noticed that I could have fixed anything or improve on anything, please feel free to comment about it!

Thanks!

sorry but i have to reply to this because it angers me as well. So many times when i start speaking to girls i have my friends move in and because they don't know what to say they end up saying stupid things like what your mates did in your situation about "did you get her number"

You did very well i must admit =] However you have two choices, either find new people to go out and do that sort of thing or you can just take it as a compliment that your friends are trying to live off your success.

I would have kept it quiet on the rules of the game though, because not everyone has the mindset to understand.

Keep it up though, good post

Alright, thank you!

I'll try to keep my mouth shut on the game from here-on out. Can't stand the thought of this happening again.

I was able to score a wingman, given that I still have to teach him how I roll, who might be able to help me the next time I go out.

Thanks for your encouraging words, couldn't believe that this was unfolding so well!
