| Post subject: | Setting boundaries |
How does one come about setting boundaries? I am naturally a very easy going person, so I go with the flow a lot. I have boundaries, just not as many as most. |

Set boundaries by being assertive. If you want something you must speak up. Whether its inner game or with another person. |

What axtion said, with the clarification that you should know what you want. What I mean is know who you are and what you expect out of a situation whether it be with a girl, at work, when dealing with family, anything. The more practice you get at it in every aspect of your life, the more it becomes second nature for when it really matters. |

Create your own set of rules that you follow for various areas in your life. I have a few "laws" that I have established for my self in order to keep life in perspective and maintain self-respect and dignity. |

-Like if a girl calls and offers you pussy last minute you don't change your plans because of this you do what you were going to do first. - Finish your work or chores before you go out with people. - People must respect your time, if they are time wasters stop talking to them. - Don't allow people to become your emotional tampon, etc. - Don't give courtesy laughs There are so many rules you can make for your self in alignment with your own beliefs. If you have clear set boundaries it says a lot about you as a person. This has been one of my problems until recently. So come up with a list of 20 things most important to you socially and then narrow down the list to 10 or 15 things. Then just abide by that. What I did personally is create my self my own law for all sectors of my health. That way you don't violate these rules often. |
