Post subject:  Insecurity Sabotaging Relationship

I've been seeing a girl for a month or so, she is someone that I've liked for a long time and finally got her interested in me. Since we have been dating, I have been in constant angst. When I'm not with her, I can't stop thinking of her and worried about how she feels about me. I have tried to deal with it internally and not let it show, but on three occassions I have let these feelings take hold which have resulted in me saying something that she gets mad at me. She then backs away. Each time it happened after I had a few drinks. She has called me overdramatic on several occassions.

Currently, she is giving me the cold shoulder because I got irritated after she cancelled plans to hang out. I have finally recognized all these issues as my insecurity. I realy like her, know she likes me, but my insecurity is sabatoging and driving her away. Maybe for good this time. Is there any advice to overcome these feelings, or readings to deal with insecurity in relationships. At this point, I'm obsessing on how I can "fix" the relationship, rather than fix my insecurity.. I am trying to stop this thinking, but struggling to overcome it is causing me angst and depression.

The main thing is you need to learn to love you first dude before you can love someone else or you will just drain her for validation.you finally got her interested in you sounds like a deep inner fear of not being enough.
There is noone better than you on this planet we are all equal and different .
Watch loving yourself by louise hay on youtube or read self matters by dr phil.
begin to fill your self esteem bank account daily by turning each fear into a positive affirmation.the sooner you start loving yourself the beter.
