| Post subject: | Music and inner game |
It seems to me that music is an essential part of framing. I notice that if I listen to classical or Jazz music, I put myself in an overly relaxed and internal state- not good for pickup. However, when I listen to more upbeat music such as hip hop before I go out, I am much more social. Thoughts? Experiences? |

I have to agree though not just hip hop what ever happens to be your favorite music with some cocky stuff in the lyrics like "I'm the man around this mothafucka I'm so hot you'll probably cat a tan around this mothafucka" ;D |

Basing your inner game on music or even using it to boost it seems fake to me. You should focus on building it up so that you dont need it at all, you should ba able to have great inner game naked in a snowstorm. A bit like why Superman will always beat SPAM... Without his gadgets SPAM is just another guy... |

Ezo, I think you are mistakenly assuming that some are using music as a means to build self-confidence. However, I believe that music can be used to increase energy levels, not self-esteem or confidence. It doesn't matter how confident someone may be, there are different times of the day when our energy level is higher than others. The right music in the right setting can really put an already established inner game over the top. |

Music can certainly affect your mood and energy, and can even put you in a confident mood. It's definitely a useful tool in controlling your mood, like downbeat relaxing stuff before bed etc. It's not just music though, watching a comedy film will put you in a comedic or silly/playful mood, and a depressing film will... well you get the idea. Maybe Ezo is right and it shouldn't be relied upon, but I take anything that helps. Certainly I wouldn't do anything that gives you an undesirable mood before going out. |

Im not assuming, just anticipating... Anyways, I just say that you are focusing on fixing the symptoms, not the reasons... |
