Here's the problem with low self esteem, whenever something good happens, it's luck, whenever something bad happens, it's your fault. It's the opposite for overconfident people. I don't usually give in to cognitive dissonance (at least I think I don't) But now would be a helpful time to give in. I've been text flirting with a girl the whole day (at least I think that's what it is). But a few nagging doubts 1) Am I really flirting or is she really friendly or wants something (if this was irrelevant qn, that would be good too) 2) Why would someone flirt with a guy who's (in his head) short, fat, ugly, shit broke and hasn't showered or shaved in a couple of days? (ok its not that bad, but you get the idea) 2a) She wants something (irrelevant, I want something too) 2b) She is genuinely interested, which leads to the case in no 2, is she insane, has LSE or just really low standards? (either one would be bad) 3) What should I do Is your self confidence lower than mine? If not you can probable see a way out that I don't |

Man, I also have ZERO confidance,and i think the same way you do. "whenever something good happens, it's luck, whenever something bad happens, it's your fault." I dont know either why would a girl flirt with me. |
