There is no one way to get into a zone. You have to find a way that works for you. For some people, it's music - listening to loud/fast music gets them pumped. For others it's exercise, or something else. For me, just getting into a positive mindframe and then being very chatty in a non-threatening social setting is enough to get me into state. Being well rested, not having a lot of heavy shit on your plate and just generally being happy about life is all critical. |

Getting into state isn't very difficult and is pretty easy to create a routine of getting into state. If you knew you wanted to go out Saturday night with your buddies to a local bar or club or what have you, you could go to a place to warm up in preparation for the local bar or club. Approach at least 5-10 girls, in this warm up location to get the approaches under your belt. And coming into the club or 2nd location, there shouldn't be any approaching difficulties. Also some good habits to cultivate are working out on a consistant basis is great because it keeps your body in good condition. And eating healthy foods is also a great option. Want to discuss anything else add me on Facebook "Dele Olora" or text me 714 683 7200. |

Something that I have used or noticed that works instantly, is to jump outside your comfort zone with intensity. To explain, everyone feels really antsy or AA when they first go out, so, instead of warming up, just jump right into a tuff approach even though it want be your best approach doesn't matter the least bit. What will matter is this, your mind won't have time to send response mechanisms, forcing you "into the moment." The only factor is if you wait to long until your next set you will soon be back into your head again, but using this sort of technique along with some of the above readings will make you a master of state harnessing. All in all, you really will find your own ritual, but for right now try anything, why not... |

What is the state?? How does it feel? I mean i was watching BBDecoded....And i actually can aknowledge everything Owen said in the seminars. I myself am highly interested in psychology and can affirm what he is saying...BUT!? The thing is, is there a such place in us that makes us happy, complete unattached to material stuff and social values? The material stuff i understand, that one is easy...But the other stuff i can´t understand, like animals we are bound to our outside enviroment. I believe in the state, but making it intact!?....Is it possible to have that?? For one who has difficulties getting there, being there and has a bleak life. And being just words, well this makes me ambivalent to know what to do? How to get in to state? How do you know if you are there? How to make it intact? And how to unattach it from the enviroment? I was in a state a few times, when i was boxing, when i was sketching or even meditating. But if this is the zone which some refer is being in state?? Well then i don´t know? It is not the same experience, place or feeling that i felt was what people has been explaining to me as being there, in state! I don´t wan´t to sound negative! I just want some guidance, some affirmation that it is possible. Becoming intact whoever you are! |

Hey there donehell, man I totally hear where your coming from bro, and, no, you're not being negative at all...great post bud. I love TD, but sometimes he goes really deep into things, which is still good, in my opinion, for the more advanced guys that are prepared to talk on that sort of level. Honestly, I was in your shoes just like a month ago...I had been reading, watching, and especially browsing the forum on RSDnation, and I was like thinking, what the F*** are these guys talking about...."Lording the Club", "Going into State", blah, blah, jargon etc. Well, only after reading "The Power of Now," did I understand it completely on that passionate level that TD does. Now, there is defiantly different intensities of "state." Basically, state is just getting outside of the control of your sub-conscious (externally conditioned mind) and being in the moment to the point where your not worried about what happened yesterday, and you're not looking ahead to the future, all that you have is the f**king moment in front of you. You talked about meditating and boxing, awesome, so, you have been there. It's that simple, the zone you get in is all he's talking about. Like I said, there is just different intensities to it, that’s all. I love working out, running, and meditating, as well, these are my ways of getting away from the fast pace, mind raided world. As far as making state or "being in the moment" fully intact, well, my friend, in this day and age, it would take a lot of work. Eckhart Tolle talks, in his book, about how much better of a place the world would be if everyone lived in the moment and only used there minds as the tool it's suppose to be. I hope you found this a little bit helpful man. I'm no expert I just shared my opinion, and my way of expressing what works for me. Recommend that everyone read the "Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle for the real understanding, because I consider myself a total newbie, not someone who should be trying to teach. |

It would be good if someone more advanced and has been in state for a long time can give us some advice. Though highly appriciated, but it would be good to know how it is living this way. Any other ideas would be good also. This is something that needs to be followed up i believe. Man where´s the guru´s when you need them. |
