Maybe some of you guys might have thought about this, maybe not.Hopefully all of us can get many different insights onto this matter: In Sept.of my senior year,About a few months after I started learning the game,I've had every principle and technique understood.Everything started to make sense, and I would practice gaming on random women in the city(15 min from my house,so everything works out there). 2 Weeks,593 rejections, and 56 numbers later(Estimates may vary),a question struck me from out of nowhere: -Is the whole "Game" really as straightforward and fundamental as it's presented?- As in,Are all the openers,DHVs,and social proofs suited for all the different types of people existent. Now,dont get the wrong message.I think openers,DHVs,NLP,and all the methods and techniques developed are VERY effective and should be used to get a feeling of how the game's really played,but...does it work for EVERYONE,or are certain types of people at a disadvantage? All of us come from different backgrounds, and because of that, different ways of thinking and living. While one person may find using routines and DHVs to be effective, others may not feel as comfortable using that, and may have a different way of looking at things. With that said,Are the rules of gaming really set in stone for all,or are there certain loopholes and exceptions for the different types of people? Share. |

First off, let's define Game.... An activity involving one or more players. This can be defined by: A) a goal that the players try to reach B) some set of rules that determines what the players can or can not do Games are played primarily for entertainment or enjoyment, but may also serve an educational or simulational role. We play games everyday, it's called LIFE. The goal may vary for each individual but in order to reach that goal, we create a strategy and follow it to see if it works. If it doesn't, then you pick yourself up and try something different. ] So to answer your question, "Is the whole "Game" really as straightforward and fundamental as it's presented?". Yes and No!!!!! The game is straightforward and the fundamentals presented do work but you would need to find what works with your personality. This probably is the reason why most guru's say to work on your inner game first before you master your outer game because if you don't know yourself and what you want in life then the delivery of any of the materials or advice on this forum wouldn't be as effective. For example, 593 rejections to 56 numbers. Just from this alone, it shows that your inner game is pretty good because you are able to handle and take rejections very well. If you were going to compare this to someone else with a weak inner game or a true AFC, they would have quit trying after the 5th rejection. Also, with a strong inner game, you are able to deliver the materials with confidence. NLP, DHV's, openers, etc. all work but you would need to find what works with your type of personality. Like you said, everyone comes from different backgrounds so these different PUA materials that are given out won't always work for everyone. But remember these are just tools so it's good to have a wide array of tools for different situations. After a while, you get skilled at using these tools and start to capture the concept of the tool. This is when you start to create your own and personal DHV's, NLP's, original openers, etc. In conclusion, to answer your last question. The rules for gaming aren't set in stone but that's what makes it fun. Creativity and imagination...... |
